Surprisingly durable

I have a bottle of Orly polish I bought on a whim probably 6 or 7 years ago. I don't know the shade name but it's a very cheerful bright pink that I have always loved except that it's sheer. I'm certain it's supposed to be sheer, but with patience I can get it to be mostly opaque in 4 (thin, so they'll dry) coats. I still use it probably at least once or twice a year so it's not like it's never being opened, and the formula is still as perfect as the day I bought it. Otherwise, it's just an average nail polish. I don't have a lot of trouble with chipping, but I keep my nails very short and always use a base coat and a top coat, so most polishes take awhile to chip for me.

Orly Polishes Are High Quality!

I use my Orly nail laquers almost as much as I use my OPI ones. Orly resists chipping, goes on smooth, and lasts! If you like OPI you will like Orly.

Love this!!!

I have this in a gold color and I'm in love. The gold color is a true gold and it's so hard to overdo it with this nail polish because it applies in thin layers so it dries quicker. It's not like those other polishes where you get too much on the brush and it's a huge goopy mess on the nails. I love that with just one swipe, the color is really opaque and applies evenly. With even more intense color, just apply a second coat.

Really, Really Wanted To Like This

I really, really, really wanted to like this after hearing so much great things about Orly's nail polish. I did like the metallic or more glittery polishes, those were nice, but the cream polishes were a big fat disappointment. I have a light, pretty pink called "First Kiss" and a plain white (like the kind used for French manicures) polish. However, this nail polish is definitely not a good value after experiencing the what it's like. The formula was incredibly watery at first, but after having the bottle open for about five minutes, everything started getting very, very goopy, making it extremely hard to work with. Also, the first coat was incredibly streaky, so I put on a second coat, which was also very streaking. It took four coats just for everything to look like it should! I don't care how inexpensive or cool a polish looks, no one has time for four coats of polish! So, since I had to layer on four coats for the polish to look halfway decent, the drying time was absolutely ridiculous. It took about three hours for the nail polish to finally dry. That is just not worth it. Then, to make things even more wonderful (not!), the polish got bubbles in it, and the day after, long cracks started forming in the polish. I have been painting my nails and other peoples' nails for a long time now, and I have never had such an unpleasant experience. If I managed to get this Orly polish right (once every blue moon), the colors were dull and the finish was dull, even with a good, reputable top coat. And the polish would last only about two days. This is just horrible. Save your money, and get something nice, like Essie or OPI. Even the $1.99 nail polish I can find performs better and last longer than this. What a disappointment.

Great Colors!

I've bought Orly nail colors now and then and it's always the color that I can't resist. On me, they last amazingly long - I've had Red Flare on my toes for the last two weeks and it just started chipping yesterday. No base coat, no top coat. The color also seems to hold up well on my fingers, but I do use a top coat then. But I get compliments on my nails every time I rock an Orly lacquer. The colors are all very unique, not just the same colors that OPI and Essie do over and over again to compete with each other. I think Orly is a quality nail care line that is sorely underrated. I love it.

Good Packaging and Quality

These are great nail polishes! The price is great for the quality and you can even get them on sale as well (I have found some for $4 at Ulta), They are opaque and come in a ton of colors. One of the best features is the grip on the top of the bottle for when you have trouble getting the bottle open (I always have trouble with it lol).

Orly is the best!

Orly Nail Polishes are fantastic! The color is very thick, and the metallic teal color I use only needs 2 coats until it looks pristine. These nail polishes are very durable, and it takes Orly nail polish MUCH LONGER to chip than many other brands, which I love. Extreme Disappointment.

I bought the color Seashell from this brand after hearing great things about the polish line. I applied my base coat like I do with all my polishes, and then applied the polish. It took SO LONG to dry. I don't think it completely dried for at least a few hours. When it did dry, it had bubbled on me and left these weird holes. Also this color went on really streaky.
