China Glaze Crackle Reviews

LOVE China Glaze Crackle!
I saw magazine ads for crackle polish, and knew I had to at least TRY this trend. :P I received two bottles to review for weheartthis .com--Cracked Concrete (grey creme) and Heartbreaker (pink creme). Both colors are opaque and pigmented. The texture is nice, although a little thick. The price is okay. I love the color options too. Decent/above average length of wear. I lent my bottle to a friend, who gave herself a pedi that withstood paint and scrubbing for two weeks! I tried Sally Hansen crackle and it was nowhere near as good. China Glaze Crackle polish is fabulous! ***Notes about crackle polish in general: It's easy to apply, and you can vary the size of the crackle by varying the thickness of the crackle coat--a thicker coat means fewer but bigger cracks, a thinner coat means many but very small cracks. Definitely make sure your base coat layer is COMPLETELY dry before applying the crackle top coat. This means the whole mani takes a bit longer than average, but not too bad. Also, crackle polish might not be okay for some office places. But fun for the weekend! It might not be a good product for gals who want their mani to be absolutely perfect, because the crackle is a little unpredictable, and it adds thickness/texture to the nail. Lastly, by changing the direction of the brush stroke, you can kind of change the direction of the crackle. — 1 year, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 5 people said helpful

Surprisingly Fun
I am not a big fan of how crackle polish looks in general, but I picked up black crackle as part of a four pack of polishes. This polish is incredibly long lasting, dries quickly, and is easy to apply. You can get several different looks depending on how thickly you apply the polish. This is a great product, regardless of how you feel about the crackle look in general. — 1 year, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Foolproof and fun!!!
I bought this for my daughter in dark purple. I am by no means a pro or even an amateur, for that matter, at nails. I put this over 2 coats of OPI in a purple-is magenta color and it looked way cool! It is not difficult, nor do you have to have a steady hand or be extremely neat. As long as you are consistent with the amount you use and technique, it looks great! It dries fast and lasts. Yay! — 11 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

My favorite crackle!
It seems like more and more brands are starting to come out with crackle polishes, and this is by far the best, even passing up OPI in my opinion. There are just so many colors to choose from compared to other brands, and they're super unique and sooo gorgeous! You have to get used to applying the polish fast and lightly, but once you've got that down, you're guaranteed to have a super amazingly mani that lasts for a long time compared to the rest I've tried (I'm a polish whore and have tried pretty much everything) I TOTALLY recommend this to anyone who wants a fun manicure. — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Fine
It's okay but spreads a little too much and it is a super thin coat! — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Pretty but not long lasting
Not a huge fan of crackle-esque polishes, but I like to use them to freshen up a manicure that's chipping when I don't feel like starting a new one. The China Glaze crackles don't seem to last very long AT ALL. (3-4 days, max) Application is very nice though, and it's easy to apply. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

China Glaze Crackle
I thought this was a fun look and easy to use. Probably my favorite thing about it was when I got a chip in my polish I was able to re do that one spot and no one could tell there had been a problem. I got it in black and platinum and want to go back for more colors. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

No thank you
Figured I try itsince I liked OPI's Shatter and this one came in the shade of blue I love. I picked up two the blue and pink. It was horrible. To get it to work you have to barely have any polish on the brush and then hope you got the strokes right. Completely disappointed with this. I think a tweak in the formula is called for. If I could give it 0 stars I would. — 1 year, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful
