E.L.F. Studio Cream Eyeliner Reviews

Nice, dark, and pretty
I recently got this in black and it really is a vibrant cream eyeliner; way better than pencil and other eyeliners that I own. The tiny brush that is included helps with creating nice lines, but at the same time it needs to be washed daily or else the cream eyeliner will solidify onto the brush making it harder to use next time around. Rest assure, once washed, the brush is good as new. Just a heads up, when you do wash it, the cream will get on your hand and is hard to remove. Also, give it sufficient time to dry, overnight is usually plenty of time! For the price, this eyeliner is definitely worth it! — 1 year, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 6 of 6 people said helpful

excellent
I LOVE this eyeliner. It's very creamy and easy to apply, the colors are very pretty. I have 2- one in black and one in purple, both looks very nice, especially if you apply 2 layers of it. The brush it comes with is rather nice too. The liner really stays put on the lids until you want it off. I tested it on totally naked lids (no primer or anything else) just to see the color, and then happened to go to the beach, and didn't bother to remove it. By the end of the day the liner was exactly where I left it- no flaking, no migrating anywhere! Very impressive. At the same time, I didn't have any troubles removing the liner. The package is very nice and pretty, looks and feels rather expensive. Will definitely buy again (maybe will try different colors)! — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 11 of 11 people said helpful

Surprised at the quality of this product!
I purchased this in Punk Purple. The brush it comes with stinks, so I tossed it as I've got an extensive collective of high quality make-up brushes. This is a smooth, easy gliding product. It's got a decent amount of pigment to it, not too light or too dark, and once its dry it's not going to move around too much. On that level, I've got to rank this product right up there with cream liner from Smashbox. That is high praise indeed. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

You get what you paid for
Gave it a chance but the formula needs to be worked on. It didn't meet my specifications. This had decent pigment, but I wanted it more pigmented. It had a bit of oiliness to it, which later smeared. Oh well, gave it a shot. — 2 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Pretty good yo..
It's great for the top of the lid, but too oily for it to last on the bottom. Great for the price! :3 use a diff brush though, the one it comes with doesn't cut it. woop woop — 1 year, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Gorgeous and doesn't budge
This $3.00 eyeliner is a gem! I have it coffee, which is a deep, true brown with no strange under tones to it. It comes in a wide variety of colors from traditional black, brown and navy, to olive, purple and a really pretty golden that will probably be my next purchase. It comes with a handy little angled brush that is just the right width to apply a perfect line. The cream is saturated with color and you can vary the depth of the color by the amount of cream you use and the amount of pressure you use when applying. It's also easy to go back over with more if you decide you want more color or a thicker line.. It glides on smooth and even and doesn't skip like some pencils can. It sets quickly and once it does you can't clean up a mistake if needed, so while getting used to it, keep a Q-Tip right with you in case you need it, because by the time you get one out it will be too late. It sets within a couple of seconds and once it does it won't fade or run all day, which is especially nice for the lower lash line. Be sure to clean the brush after each use or it will become clumped with liner. I just swipe it back forth across a paper towel until no more color appears. It's easily removed with cleanser or makeup remover and doesn't require any pulling or tugging. I have no desire to try the more expensive brands of this type of liner because this is such a great product at such a great price. Try as I might I can't find a single negative thing to say about this liner. — 3 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Dry and Unpleasant
I bought this in the purple/eggplant shade at Target for super cheap. And I now know why. It was very dry right out of the jar. I was hoping for a moister, creamier consistency but this stuff was hard and dry. It took quite a few uncomfortable swipes on my eyelid for me to get the color payoff I wanted and it just wasn't worth it for me. Too much work for too little reward. And the brush that came with it was useless. At least I didn't spend a ton of money on this! — 10 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Nice
I really like this liner. I have it in Coffee & Purple. I just checked it & it's still where I applied it. Unlike the pencil liners I usually use which disappear. The brush it comes with is handy too. But the best part is I was able to get them for $1.50 after using an online coupon for 50% off. You can't beat that with a stick. :-) — 7 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Calls For A New Formula!
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't happy with this liner, but I'd also be lying if i said I was completely satisfied. I do love the price, the loads of product I get, that glide-on, no-fade, long-wear formula and the great color. However, this liner slips and slides when applying! The formula is so emollient, the liner actually applies with spots of sheer! I have to wait until the first application dries before I can go over all the little patches that came up when the liner just slid right around. Granted, my lids are oily and the problem isn't that significant with some primer, but it does test my patience! — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Pretty darn good for 3 dollars!
Its not the best eyeliner I've ever used in my life but for a 3$ liner it does everything an eyeliner is supposed to. Its a tiny bit on the clumpy side sometimes but its easy to work with and clean up. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
