L'Oréal Paris Studio Secrets Professional The One Sweep Eye Shadow Reviews
-
I just bought this.
It's a great concept for doing the smokey eye in one sweep of the applicator. The only problem I have is doing it with my right hand since I am left handed and the applicator is curved. I use a makeup sponge instead of the applicator that comes with it. The colors are really saturated and stay on, and you don't have to figure out which color goes where on your eyes — 2 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 8 of 8 people said helpful

Loreal
You know, I just have never found that L'oreal eyeshadows were of good quality. I have always found that the packaging compact is very cheaply made and breaks easily, and that the applicators that they include with the makeup are completely worthless. This new product is no exception. The compact was cheap and the hinge flimsy, and I threw out the shadow applicator right away, as I saw that it would never be of any real use. Then, I found that the shadow was chalky. The color seemed very washed out and the shadow didn't go own smoothly. It was dry and crumbly. I really didn't like anything at all about this makeup, and I do not feel that L'oreal is worth the high prices that they charge. This was no better than any generic makeup product. I would not use it again and I do not recommend it. Loreal just doesn't make products of high enough quality to justify how much money they charge. — 1 year, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Great product, bad aplicator
The colors are nice, and the concept is a great idea, but it does not do what it says. I have almond eyes, and it just turned into a huge mess! — 2 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 3 people said helpful

Great idea
This product sounds great on paper. I wished it worked as well as it is designed to. I tried using it multiple times, but it was a bit awkward to use and the color payoff not too great. I do like the colors in the palette and will use them with a regular eyeshadow brush to apply. The packaging is a bit flimsy and I have already broken mine oops. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Concept Is Cool...If Only It Worked!
I received the Playful trio for brown eyes through BzzAgent. The colors were gorgeous and I loved the concept. However, I have not been able to get it to work in one sweep no matter how many times I've tried. I was able to use my own brushes but found the stripes of shadow to be so thin that it was hard to get the brush into one individual shade without getting any of the other shades. Also, although lasting, the formula is so shimmery that older users who have an issue with crepey lids may not be able to use it. Since you're paying for the gimmick, and the gimmick just doesn't work, save your money and buy one of their eye shadow quads. — 2 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

what..is..this?
oh gosh i dont even know where to start with this, the applicator is terrible as well as the packaging, you can swipe something and have a perfectly sculpted eye. its also too small to use a different brush or applicator. save your money ladies! not worth it — 5 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Looks cool...but not so much
I received this kit from BuzzAgent. The concept is really neat. However, it really doesn't work. I tried multiple times to use the sponge applicator and found that it would only deposit the "liner" shadow. If you're not careful with the way you apply it, you can have shadow on the bottom portion of your eye without even trying. I found the colors really shimmery. Not really appropriate for everyday wear. The shadow did stay on all day, but I was also wearing an eyeshadow primer. Save your money and buy some shadow from the H.I.P. line or the regular eyeshadow quads. — 2 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

An on the move, yet flattering way to apply eyeshadow
I took off one star point because I would like to see more of a range of colors, and it seems to be focused on brown. The one I have is Playful for Brown Eyes that I got as a BzzAgent. I don't have to say I like it ,if I don't, but I like it for the following reasons: It has a new way of applying the 3 colors, which when swept across the lids, mingle in a soft, yet flattering way. Fast, and without thought, yet you can get fancy and of course use it differently. To get more of a color depth range, I will use a drop or so of water on a brush or this foamy applicator. Then, if I want to get fancy I use the Double Extend Eye Illuminator mascara, which I reviewed previously. If you experiment with these two, you will get a wide range of looks. I use this illuminator with different ways, to act as a highlight on my lids, and if I want a top lid eyeliner. The two together, added depth to my eyes, which when using brown shades, I usually have to add layers of shadow and liner. I don't think you have to follow their recommendations for eye color, as you can work with the product to get the look you want to acheive. For matte shadow users, you may not care for it, and that is the other reason I gave it a one less star. The price is often inexpensive, if you take into account sales, and coupons offered. I saw older teens admiring this, but it is for any age. — 2 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Nice idea...in theory
I thought this was a great idea! I saw commercials and when I had a little extra time and $ I decided to try out a few new products. I saw the natural look for blue eyes (Neapolitan ice cream colors) and I thought it was perfect for me considering I love using those colors both with jewelry and clothing. When I tried it I discovered something quite interesting, this applicator is one size fits all and one size does not fit all! I have very large, round, sunken eyes and this curves too sharply to fit my eye I tried different ways of moving it and holding it to go fluidly with my eye shape but it wouldn't work there was always this space in between my upper lid and the first color. Also, not to sound like a snob but they way they set up the colors doesn't really make a lot of sense with the way I learned to do eye make up they put the brown on the bottom and its a thick, abrasive smudge instead of a thick line like I had expected. The colors don't really offer a lot of pigment or depth they are just standard and as stand alone colors, forget about it! Inside some small part of me knew it was too good to be true. I'm just going to have to keep doing my eyes the good old fashioned way! — 6 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

NOT as nice as it looks
I agree with another lady who said that Loreal shadows seem to have cheap packaging, break easily and are never great quality. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt because it looked like a neat product and in just one sweep I would have 3 pretty shades in one. Needless to say, I will never buy this again. First of all I had to sweep it on about 3 times before you could even see color then it just morphed into one shade not 3 pretty ones for that smoky eye look. I tried it twice and tossed it, not even worth cluttering up my make-up drawer. I do not recommend. — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
