I received this as a deluxe sample and tried it 3 times. With a name like Anastasia, I thought this mascara would blow me away! It so did not! The application of this mascara goes on clumpy, doesn't define, flakes terribly after 3 hours, and it made my eyelashes so stiff that they hurt! This is a very black mascara which is the only good thing I can say about it. This mascara did not lift my lashes at all. This is the first mascara I've tried that has made my lashes stick straight out! Definitely not an attractive look. Save your money! I love the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara. This is all natural, goes on without clumps, adds curl and volume (400% more volume), is very black, and 2 coats gives you fabulous, soft lashes that will get you noticed and last all day with no flakes. I also like Mally's Volume Mascara as well. This mascara made its way into that stash and I gave it a chance for 2 months. My lashes are a medium brown color naturally and of average length and number. This mascara does add a nice dark black color and makes them appear longer. It does clump fairly annoyingly and also leaves little deposits of the waxy formula randomly on the lashes which is hard to remove without messing everything up. The wand works OK in the inner and outer most lashes, but not great and has a fairly blunt end. It also is very hard to use on my lower lashes. The formula is is thick and waxy and takes a lot of effort and wiggling to apply completely and uniformly. After about 10 hours it starts flaking and feeling clumpy and heavy – which is an issue for me with my 12 hour work days, and I have lots of mascara that can last the whole day. I use eyedrops, and while this is NOT waterproof mascara, I do expect it to last through a TINY bit of liquid that is not rubbed – it doesn’t. Was it bad enough to throw out immediately? NO Will I ever buy it again? NO Overall Impression, for a “high end” mascara it didn’t perform as nicely as I’d like. I expected better from the Eye expert Anastasia. Dry

Flaky!
I so wanted to love this mascara. The brush is fabulous, and the mascara made my lashes long and thick, but the product is very dry. It doesn't just flake at the end of the day--it actually flakes while I'm trying to apply it.
