Not entirely impressed
I absolutely LOVE to shop at Sally Beauty and it took a while for me to give in and buy the Diamond Shine Shampoo and Conditioner (they have sales every now again where you get 2 liters for $15, basically you get one for free). I bought this because I was looking for an (inexpensive) sulfate-free shampoo that was good for color-treated hair, but was going to strengthen and fortify it because I want to grow it longer. After finishing a liter of both the shampoo and conditioner, I can say that I like it, but I don't love it. Yes, my hair seems a tiny bit more stronger because I don't see split ends as frequently as normal (then again I don't know if my leave-in conditioner is doing most of the work), and my hair seems a little bit shinier (then again I have shine sprays if I wanted shiny hair. My hair is very thick and coarse, and this did not make it feel soft like more 'reputable' salon brands. In fact, I need MORE shampoo with this than I do with other brands, so my shampoo seems to run out so much faster. It doesn't foam up very well the first time even if I use a lot, so sometimes I need to shampoo twice to make sure my hair is clean. For someone like me who has used everything from the super cheap to the brutally costly, it's not a bad shampoo for someone looking for an upgrade from drug store shampoo. In fact, that's my best recommendation. If you have been using drugstore shampoo, give this a try. You can find it at Sally's. You'll definitely like this much better.
