  I changed my mind...

  Originally, I detested this mascara. I thought it smelled funky, uncurled my lashes, and did nothing for volume and curling. However, being myself, I couldn't let this product go to waste, and I figured out a way to make this mascara work. Yes, my previous dislikes about the product still exist, but when worn the right way,... this mascara can work. Instead of trying to create volume, I realized this is purely a lengthening mascara; I stopped adding gobs of mascara onto my lashes and (wow) my lashes still remained curled (not as much as they were right after I curled them, but still slightly curled). My lashes now are crazy long and separated (the brush is absolutely amazing). I would only recommend this mascara to those with naturally voluminous lashes (or at least not sparse lashes) like mine so the lack of the volumizing factor can go unnoticed. This mascara washes off easily and doesn't flake throughout the day. April 3, 2009, 10:21 am

  How Odd...

  Love the packaging, love the idea, not a fan of the product. It smells weird, like plastic and chemicals so I didn't enjoy even opening the tube. The brush is nothing special- wiry and painful if you accidentally brush your eyelid as I sometimes do before I have my coffee. The mascara itself is a good super black but my ...lashes feel like straw about to break and they look tangled, spiky, and odd. At $8.99 it's expensive for something that doesn't work. I don't have a review yet of how long it lasts or if it smudges because I just put it on, but if I weren't at work I would take it right off! It's been 10 minutes and I can smell my eyelashes. Let me say that again: I can SMELL my EYELASHES. That's not right. February 13, 2009, 10:39 am

  This mascara does not work for Asian gals with short, straight eyelashes!!!

  I'm Asian and I have short, straight eyelashes. This mascara did not work for me! This mascara results reminds me of Maybelline's Colossal mascara. The Colossal mascara didn't work work to either! I normally curl my eyelashes with my Shu Uemura eyelash curler and then I apply mascara. When I applied the Maybelline's Stilett...o mascara, the curl that I got from the Shu Uemura eyelash was gone! The mascara only made my lashes darker/thicker. I don't recommend this mascara to gals with the same type of lashes as mine! I also hated the smell of this mascara! It smells like expired mascara!   Nothing Special Here

  I am a mascara junkie/addict. At this very moment I own 15 different mascaras....AT THIS MOMENT. So no surprise that with this pretty package, the great ads & the promise for Stiletto-High lashes (& with a little shine too....ooooohhhhh) that I just could not leave the store without it in my basket! Well 1st off t...he brush is awkward & it just felt really weird when I was applying. I was so nervous that I was going to poke myself in the eye or something, BUT I will say that it did reach all of my lashes even those really tough to get inner corner ones, but still -- the design of the brush is awkward. Then also the faint smell. Not a strong odor by any means, but still -- don't really prefer to smell my mascara. Didn't notice a real difference in my lashes either. At least not a good difference. They got really clumpy & spider eye looking with only 2 coats & my goodness does anyone just do 1 coat of mascara???? I also noticed some flaking throughout the day. The only reason I'm keeping it & will continue to use it is because times are just too tough right now to be tossing a full tube of mascara, but when I do use it it's typically for my 1st coat because of the way it will reach & smooth out (but only if you use 1 coat) all of my lashes & then I just apply another mascara on top.   I give this atrocity two stars: one star which is mandatory and another star for effort and the pretty, sleek packaging. Everything else about this product is garbage. If you aren't careful with application, your eyelashes will turn into a clumpy mess. And not to mention by the end of the day it starts to flake off. Oh,... and the price? Outrageous when you can buy a two dollor product that actually works AND is cheaper. February 13, 2009, 9:20 pm

  Not a Bad Mascara, Just Not for Me

  What I love about Lash Stiletto: The brush isn't plastic! I'm tired of plastic or silicone brushes. I want the old fashioned spooley brushes that gave me tons of product on each swipe. I don't mind combing out the clumps, if there are any. The packaging is super cute. The smell is pleasant - some sort of fragrance is in it,... but I can't put my finger on exactly what it is. Amazing lengthening properties. If you're looking for length, this is the mascara for you. The price is absolutely right - you'll only pay about $7.50 at a local drugstore for this one. What I don't love about Lash Stiletto: It doesn't do a thing for volume. Amazing lengths, but not so much in the volume department. However, this isn't billed as a volumizing mascara, but don't make the mistake of thinking that you'll get some volume out of it. You won't. You will, however, get amazing long, skinny lashes.   I'ts average

  I just bought this mascara yesterday and then i come across these reviews. I will agree that it has a weird smell but nothing that is horrid and i cant smell it after i apply it. The brush that came with my mascara wasnt red. It was just your average black brush. The mascara is nothing like the commercial says it is (maybe ...cause mine didnt come with the correct brush) but its wearable and i think i'll keep it. Its quite comparable to their "Define a Lash" mascara. Believe me i know a lot of mascaras, im another one of those mascara junkies. March 4, 2009, 7:45 am

  It's very similiar to Lancome's Definicils

  So I really like it. Especially the price compared to Lancome's! Since Definicils is my favorite mascara, I was thrilled when I opened it and it smelled just like Definicil's. I will definitely buy this again! March 1, 2009, 12:57 pm

  Good Length, No Clumps, and only $7

  Unlike some of the other reviewers, I didn't detect any weird smells with Lash Stiletto. What I did get was nice length and lovely fringe. It wasn't WHOA, OMG or anything, but it was definitely blinkly loveliness that added length to my less-than-long lashes. Plus, I didn't get any end-of-the-day smudgies or flakes, and L...ash Stiletto washes off very easily with regular face cleanser. The only claim the product makes that it falls "short" on is the patent shine. Otherwise, a great value. February 28, 2009, 8:44 pm

  Not too bad

  This mascara is good if you are only concerned about defining your lashes. I'm more into lengthening and full lashes. I will finish using this mascara til it's gone, but I won't buy it again. April 3, 2009, 10:09 am
