A Huge Kiss for Soap & Glory!
If I had to change one feature, it would be my lips. They have a great shape, but I wish they were fuller, ala Angelina Jolie's. Evidently other women feel the same way, as lip plumpers appeared on the market and continue to flourish. When they first arrived on the scene, I wasn't sure what made them enhance one's pout. And then I did some research: Plumpers actually irritate the thin skin of the lips with ingredients such as Menthol, Camphor, Cinnamon, and/or Cayenne Pepper, which rushes blood to the area to produce a temporary swelling. Others rely on Niacin and Retinol to increase the size of the blood vessels, resulting in the same effect. When lips are fuller, annoying lines and creases are smoothed and are less noticeable. Once lips have ballooned, they are enhanced by emollients to keep lips supple and lines blurred. Soap & Glory's "Super Color Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss" claims to contain Superfill® Technology and LIPSWELL™ plant oil infusion. This gloss is chock-full of hydrating ingredients, to keep lips lush and bountiful once they are slightly enlarged: Mineral, Castor Seed, and Apricot Kernel Oils, along with Silica. The "stinging" sensation which comes along with this gloss is not as harsh as it is with some other brands, and there is a delectable scent and taste as well. The colors are beautiful and produce a patent-leather shine: Among others, there is "Baby Doll" (sheer pink and a chocolate/raspberry flavor), "Dusty Rose" (with a taste like buttered popcorn!), "Yummy Plum" (dark coral-plum and a chocolate/raspberry tang), and "Candy Gloss" (champagne shimmer with a vanilla flavor). Since the plumping effect is only temporary, you do have to reapply for the effect, but you'll need to do so less often than with other brands as well. I've tried many, and this remains my favorite. On a diet? Apply some lip gloss and live vicariously. You'll save yourself from too many calories and keep beautiful at the same time! — 2 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

Best lip gloss purchase I have made
I'm a bit bummed that target quit carrying Soap and Glory. I loved it when the products went on sale!!! I bought the 3 pack of lip glosses over two years ago and am about half way through two of the tubes- the third I haven't even cracked yet. The gloss lasts and lasts and it really does plump my lips. However, I find that it really only works if it can make contact with your lips, in otherwords don't expect to experience the full effect if you put it over lipstick or Chapstick. It also takes a few minutes before I start to feel the tingle that lets me know that it's working. I usually put it on before I leave the house and then apply lipstick in the car about 5 minutes later. It works well over matte lipstains as well, I would just advise allowing a few minutes for the stain to dry down and set before gloss application. I will say that this gloss is pale, very lightly pigmented- I perfer it that way though, as it augments my lips and I can choose any color of lipstain or stick to work with it. Oh, and I'll also add that although I've had this gloss for 2 years, I haven't experienced any diminishing returns- works as great as the first day! — 1 year, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 8 of 8 people said helpful

Good for Sensitive Lips
My lips peeled with other lip plumping products. Soap & Glory has a more gentle formula, although it's just as effective. My lips were slightly fuller, but they didn't peel as they did with the other items. The colors are beautiful and the gloss is non-sticky and smooth. Love it! — 2 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
