  Good for combination/oily skin

  What caught my attention about this product was the fact that there’s clay in it. Because clay is very purifying, I immediately thought, “score!” Aside from the performance factor, it also makes this drugstore cleanser seem a little bit fancier. In addition to the clay, there’s also Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) and micr...o-beads to exfoliate the surface of the skin. The scrubbing factor is somewhat mild, but, combined with the BHA, it’s definitely doing the job. While this cleanser doesn’t foam too much, it definitely deep cleanses. It removes all of my makeup, breaks down any oil and leaves my skin feeling smooth, and even a tad dry. Despite the fact that my skin isn’t sensitive at all, I get a warm sensation from the BHA during cleansing, but my skin does appear brighter. So for those who have normal to oily skin, try it, but those with sensitive or dry skin should skip it. April 4, 2009, 11:49 pm

  I decided to give this a try after reading about it in a beauty blog. It really deep cleans and provides a light exfoliation but is too strong for my combo skin. My skin is left feeling dry and tight after I use it. August 25, 2009, 1:26 am

  Intensely Irritating

  I wanted to love this product, with it's pretty metallic pink tube, mild exfoliating feel, and promise of "cellualr renewal". Alas, after a few days of use, I ended up with red, inflamed patches on my face. I blamed it on a few other products I'd been using before finally tracing it to this cleanser. It took a wee...k of using pore-clogging hydrocortisone cream to calm the rash down. That was five months ago. I tried to use the cleanser once again, just the other day (to test if it was a temporary problem I was having), and that rash flared right back up. Perhaps for someone who doesn't have remotely sensitive skin (which I didn't, prior to using this), this might be a decent product. April 3, 2009, 9:26 am

  So far so good
