I am in love with this!
by radar626 (241 reviews)Top 100 ReviewerTrusted ReviewI put of buying this for a long time. I had been using DHC's Velvet Coat, which is also a fantastic makeup primer, but it costs twice as much. I finally broke down and purchased this, and I am so glad I did! It's not as silky feeling as the Velvet Coat, but for the price, it can't be beat. My makeup stays in place just ...as well, and Magix has SPF where the Velvet Coat does not. I even prefer this to samples I have tried from Smashbox and Lorac. I am excited that they now have the tinted version as well. No more foundation!! July 19, 2009, 8:01 pm3 of 3 people found this review helpful.

An Affordable Primer that Keeps You Shine Free
by Kiki072895 (10 reviews)For the past three months, I’ve been using Avon’s new primer called MagiX Face Perfector SPF 20. I am simply in love with it. I ordered it from Avon’s website, and got it at an introductory price of $7.99. (I ordered two tubes!) This wonderful primer has kept my otherwise greasy t-zone looking semi-matte all day at wo...rk. It has even worked during some of the most humid days New York City’s Indian summer threw at me. Although I sometimes feel like my face is very shiny, the mirror tells me different. Many of the reviewers online said that it can be worn without a moisturizer underneath. I only recommend this if your skin does not feel dry after you wash it. MagiX claims to reduce the appearance of pores with “patent-pending Optix [sic] Light-Diffusing Technology”; block shine for up to 10 hours (at least 6 hours for me); reduces the look of fine lines; and makes skin feel softer. I can testify that this is pretty much true for me. The topping on the cake is it has SPF 20, which is added aging protection. It is also one of the most affordable primers out there. Good oil control
by redbird62 (3 reviews)I love to use this primarily to mattify my very oily t-zone. It diffuses light to help give a soft look to skin, but it does not hide imperfections. I brush on my favorite powder after I apply this and can go about 4-5 hours before I need to touch up. January 22, 2009, 6:34 am2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

Heaven-sent! Oily face? Magix is here for you
by adelhanapmakeup (105 reviews)Top 500 ReviewerI am so so glad that i tried this. I have been busy at work these past few days and preparing for the new semester so i was not able to get this one essential piece for my oily face, but even so, i received my Magix Face Perfector this week. I did not expect the results! This is soooo much better in controlling the oil on m...y face without the other product i normally use! This helps me to save because i would not have to buy another mattifier, this Magix gel powder is more than enough in controlling oil. It is not greasy at all, not sticky, and the smell is not strong. Among all the face gels/creams i have used for my face, this is by far the only one that is not sticky and greasy. You will feel the velvety feel on your face while applying and after application. My face has never been this soft! January 15, 2010, 10:29 pm0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

A great way to start your makeup routine
by jesbes007 (2 reviews)I love this product! I use the magix every day, and just as it states can be worn alone or under other foundations/make up. It leaves a very silky feel to your face which I love and can help even out tone/blemishes. It isn't a cure all but I like to wear it daily under my usual foundation whether liquid or mineral. Acts as ...a great primer. I highly recommend this product! December 26, 2009, 8:24 pm0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

Matte, but not chalky
by maryharvey (17 reviews)I wasn't crazy about Revlon's primer, it seemed a bit too greasy. I tried Avon, and I really like it. I'm 45, with fair, sensitive skin, so I'm careful not to look pasty. I use this with foundation or tinted moisturizer, and the finish is terrific, very soft looking and feeling. December 5, 2009, 9:48 am0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

LOVE IT!
by Sable6 (6 reviews)I love this product because it really does help me with my oily skin while providing extra sun protection. I guess because the weather in Cali is still slightly warm, my skin still has a little more shine than I would like when I'm not wearing makeup. With makeup, it's the closest thing to a primer that Avon has. December 2, 2009, 1:51 pm0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

Great product
by kelby18 (2 reviews)I have used other primers over the years, and they were quite costly. I have to admit, I was apprehensive about trying this, but I absolutely love it! It's the perfect balance of moisture and matte -- gives a matte finish but doesn't dry out your skin. Highly recommend! November 3, 2009, 11:17 am0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

ew.
by purplegirl1621 (122 reviews)Top 500 ReviewerMy mom has this, and I tried it out. I really didn't like it. I'm not sure if it just didn't work with my skin, or if it was the product. It felt greasy and heavy. September 20, 2009, 3:22 pm0 of 0 people found this review helpful.
