When Aussie celebrity stylist Sarah Potempa said Aussie Opposites Attract Protect and Soften Shampoo works for all hair types, I had my doubts. But after using it (with Opposites Attract Conditioner), I became a believer. Aussie seems to have found a formula that's strong enough to clean hair without being drying or too heavy, even after weeks of use. Hair feels clean and soft -- not stripped -- with both shine and body. The smell, a fruity scent that lingers on strands, is nice, not overpowering. And you can't beat the price. My only complaint: The bottle is tough to pry open.

    I am impressed with this shampoo, being a curly girl myself I have to be very careful with harsh shampoo that will ended up either dry up or tangle my hair. However, this shampoo make my hair soft!! I don't know about protect? but it did made my hair soft!! It smells great and the price is affortable $3.29 a bottle! Exc...ept the price is right and the scent is great... I like it because it doesn't have the waxy feel that can actually wear your hair down, or which could also create build up on your scalp; so if your looking forward to experiment or finding something new give this a try.     I always use drugstore brands for my hair because it’s inexpensive and, honestly, because I can’t really tell how products work on my mane. I have fine hair that needs minimal attention because I’m just not that savvy when it comes to styling and have pretty much given up on trying - LOL. With that said, all I need is... something that makes my hair look and feel soft, is manageable and affordable. Aussie’s Opposites Attract Shampoo smells deliciously luscious and tropical and for $3 bucks a pop, I really can’t ask for anything more! I’ve noticed that I use significantly less product with Opposites Attract versus other shampoos and conditioners I’ve used in the past. And… with this product, I don’t need conditioner! That’s a completely foreign concept to me. Just the shampoo leaves my looks clean, shiny, and best of all, untangled! September 18, 2008, 4:28 pm

    Smells great, will soften, BUT not for those with oily hair.

    This shampoo does smell great, make your hair quite soft and the conditioner that matches is quite luxuirously thick, BUT don't recommend for anyone with oily hair. When you wash with this shampoo it makes your hair literally "sqeaky clean". For those of you who have experienced this before you know what I mean, w...hen you run your hands through your hair under the water you can hear you fingers squeak against your hair folicles. This unfortunalty means the natural oils in your hair are being stripped away. For oily hair this leads to an excess in oil production to make up for it. July 30, 2009, 6:48 pm

    I bought this after i'd read the Total Beauty reviews. The reviews don't nearly do it justice. This stuff is magic. It leaves my hair super shiny, soft, and grease free...and it protects from heat too? AMAZING. Seriously, i've tried my fair share of conditioners...for 3 bucks this is a steal. May 8, 2009, 8:21 am

    Affordable and Yummy Smelling

    I LOVE the smell of Aussie products and this is no exception. I use the Clense & Mend version because I have greasy roots, but split ends. It works great and my hair stays balanced. April 12, 2009, 12:43 pm

    and for only $3, i was shocked. it works better than expensive shampoos i've tried. it even made my hair feel soft and clean and moisturized--just from a shampoo! the scent is great and not overpowering. the only complaint i have is the lid--it's hard to open. i think i'll go bang it on the side of tub a few times....
