Since I react negatively to sunscreen in face cream like many people with sensitive skin, I was excited to get this sample of REN's spf-free cream. It's pretty thick so if you have oily skin, it may be somewhat heavy for you. Since I turned forty my skin went from normal to dry so it doesn't feel too heavy to me; in fact, because of the thick consistency, this sample has already provided three uses. Maybe the high price is really not that high after all in the long run. I really like this moisturizer. It sooths and calms down the skin. My skin is quite prone to breakouts and redness but since I have used this light cream I have not experienced any problems. It does not have an spf which requires you to use an additional sunscreen in the daytime. It's use prevents me from breaking out because of the sunscreen. I use this moisturizer at night because it does not provide any sun protection and my skin wakes up feeling AMAZING. This does not irritate my skin, moisturizes better than anything I've tried and does not contain harsh chemicals that might cause harm in the long run.
