Redken Elastic Works 09 gives wavy hair well-defined curls that manage to stay bouncy and soft, not crispy or crunchy. I applied it to damp hair and diffused while scrunching. Surprisingly, my waves came out as loose curls that were low on frizz, as opposed to kinky curls that were stiff or frizzy. Straight hair types can use this to coax waves out of hair, while any hair type can expect added texture and movement.

Not for fine hair
Even though this product didn't work for my hair, I didn't dock it any serious stars because I could see how it could work well for someone with a different hair type. I finger-combed this product through my extremely fine hair and was delighted that I could twist and shape my hair--it really is elastic!
