Gets super hot but doesn't damage my hair, straightens my hair super fast and the perfect width. I bought the Sedu after a year of yearning on a common hair site. It is probably my fault because I hyped this iron up so much in my head, but I was extremely disappointed in its performance. The iron reaches a good temperature quickly, but the plates don't seem to glide on my coarse hair as easily as other flat irons. Products build up on the plates faster than any flat iron that I have ever had! After one use, I cannot believe how shiny and soft my hair is! The price is a bit steep but it will be worth every penny. It heats up in about 30 seconds. I have thick hair and I didn't even have to put the temperature all the way up! THis is by far the best hair straightener I have ever had. Maybe in the world. It works SO quickly and gives me the straightest, silkiest hair ever. I have even convinced several friends to get it because they saw how amazing it is. I have had mine for two years now and have never had a problem with it. I had a different iron and it burned out. I was looking for a new one and saw so many good reviews on the Sedu. I bought it on Folica.com. I love this iron. I have thick curly hair and this iron helped me straighten my hair really quickly. I usually took me about an hour with my old iron. With this one it was about 30 minutes.
