  "Not Great" mascara

  I liked the packaging.. so I picked up this to try. The wand is a filmsy plastic & bends easily when you try to force it back into the tube. The brush does not want to go back in! The mascara itself is just okay. My tube doesn't seem to have a lot of mascara in it.. its kind of dry & for one eye - I have to dig ...in tot he tube maybe 3 times to get full coverage.   Awesome brush

  Love this mascara

  I recently bought this brand and I love the fact that there are no clumps after applying it and it definately defines my lashes. I have gotten numerous compliments on my eyes. I will definately use this product again. July 30, 2008, 5:09 am

  I have recieved so many compliments on my lashes since using this mascara it's unreal! It doesn't clump, even after two or three coats, and the brush's flexability allows you to go from root to tip at a slight angle, perfect for getting the lashes on the inside corner of my eyes. I use a heated eyelash curler before putting... this on as well. It's a great mascara if you have decent lashes that generally look better with mascara, this deffinetly provides great results for the price. I hope they make a waterproof version soon!   Define-a-lash Volume Waterproof Mascara

  This review is for the waterproof version... Pros: Black is a dark, true black color Cons: Brush is flimsy and too flexible, making it harder to stroke on to lashes and insert back in the tube, brush has a concave shape in the centre, not sure why but mascara doesn't apply evenly and I often have to brush out clumps, alth...ough this is called "volume" it gives none. Wouldn't re-purchase. November 4, 2009, 7:10 am

  i first fell in love with define a lash when maybelline came out with the "lime green tube" mascara. i received multiple compliments from friends (and even strangers) about my lashes. last month i was at target ready to pick up my green tube when i saw the pink tube right next to it. i love this even more! it c...reates full, thick, long lashes that make my eyes look big and bright. it's not gloppy or goopy. as a hard contact wearer, that i VERY important. so many mascaras flake and irritate my eyes. and YES, i've gotten lash compliments with this, too! (make sure that you always, always remove all of your mascara before applying again. it might seem like a no-brainer, but naked lashes make the best canvas for thick, non-gloppy lashes!)   I always had this mascara in the back of my collection, and was never really interested in it. But recently I have tried it out with a lash curler and comb and it works very well. It is washable, it comes off with baby oil(what I use as a cheap, hypoallergenic alternative). The Color is truly a BLACK!! It leaves your lashe...s thick and separated .I will definitely repurchase.   The best thing about this mascara-- the stopper!

  My absolute favorite thing about this stuff is the stopper. It is super small and you really have to tug at the brush to get it out of the tube (putting it back in takes effort too). This is NOT a bad thing! The stopper gets all the globs and clumps off the brush so they don't get on my lashes. As for the mascara and brush,... it's not bad. Delivers moderate volume, and nice definition and separation, which is partly because it's a rubber brush. Overall this is a great deal, especially if you catch it on a BOGO sale.   Worst ever.

  I actually had the waterproof version of this, but for some reason, they don't have that on this site, so I will review this one instead. Anyway, it was the Worst. Ever. It flaked a whole lot. It got in my eyes and left giant smudges on my contact lenses that wouldn't come off for days (ophthalmologist tested?? puh-lease). ...It was just plain terrible. By far the worst mascara I've ever used. And the brush is shaped stupidly, too. August 14, 2009, 9:39 pm
