Blistex for Winter!
My husband and I go through tubes and tubes of Blistex Lip Ointment during the winter. This is the Only lip product we have found that heals and prevents dry, chapped lips. Being as this is an ointment, it does smell and taste a bit medicinal but that is a small price to pay for comfortable lips. I also love the tube as a delivery system. Great classic product
I usually go for the Blistex in the blue jar, but this one is great for using on-the-go since it is in a handy applicator that is more hygienic than sticking your finger in a jar. Great for severely chapped and painful lips, when the winter cold and indoor heat gives your lips a real beating. Works really fast two...I usually see a difference within 24 hours. It does look white upon intial application, but within a couple of minutes it sinks in and leaves a light shine. My best friend
I love this product. It has so many uses and it is so affordable. I've tried so many lip treatments and this one has been the best and the most consistent. I've been using this balm since I was 13! I use it religiously in the wintertime for my dry, chapped lips. In summer, I use it to soothe sunburns. When I get a chemical burn due to using a high spf on my face, I use this to soothe and heal my face, and it does it almost overnight. This balm works are a cuticle softener too. I'm sure there are so many more uses for this that I have yet to discover. I have a tube in every purse, and whenever it's on sale, I always buy a handful. I hate it.
I hate this product so so so much. I thought it was going to be tingly, but it's not. It does absolutely nothing. You put it on, it doesn't moisturize, nothing. It comes out white (almost looks like white paint) and it doesn't smell too great either. If you go to sleep with it on, there will be dried up white on your lips which is the ointment. It doesn't work, it doesn't even go deep into the layers of your lips. Magic!
This ointment heals my dry lips faster than anything else I have tried. It's more of a quick fix than prevention for me though. I don't like how it feels any other time. I love the minty tingle, which is very soothing on my chapped lips. It's also great for my dry chapped nose, which has suffered from a recent bout of the flu. My grandma used this product too. Great Product
I had a cold sore on the edge of my mouth, and I applied the lip ointment maybe twice a day for two days and the sore was GONE. It worked great!
