Bumble and bumble Spray de Mode Reviews

Flexible hold
I love using the Spray de Mode after I heat style my hair. When I add messy waves or do soft curls, this is the hairspray I like best. It is super light so it doesn't weigh down my hair or my style. It doesn't make my hair sticky at all, but instead it remains very movable. Often times light hold hairsprays don't seem to hold curls in my thin, naturally straight hair. But I feel like this actually makes my style last through the entire day, without any stiffness. You retain all the movement you want, without sacrificing your style. This smells a bit strong when you first spray it, but I think it smells good. The smell also fades pretty quickly so you aren't stuck with the fragrance all day. This is a pricey hairspray but it is a really unique product, unlike any other kind of hairspray I own or have tried. The large bottle is huge so it lasts forever. They also sell a travel size of this and that has even lasted quite a while. This is an aerosol hairspray, but the nozzle has never clogged like some others tend to do (a couple of my Paul Mitchell hairsprays do this). Reviewers who say this doesn't do anything are probably looking for a more traditional, firm holding hairspray. This just isn't that kind of product. Instead, it gives your hair a memory. Paul Mitchell Extra Body Firm Finishing Spray or Bumble and Bumble Classic Hairspray would give that more traditional, firm holding style. — 7 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Nice product
I like the spray but it is a little sticker than I am use to using. — 4 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 5 people said helpful

de mode works
I hate the packaging though. It just says "blue blood" to me, we need to remember that time in history and what purple represents. Back to the product quality, I like it but I don't understand people who ONLY use bumble and bumble products. There are plenty of comprable guys on the market. — 4 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 8 people said helpful

Stinky!
I am glad I ordered the trial size of this hairspray. It is "just okay" at holding my style but I hardly ever use it because it smells so awful. I hold my breath when spraying but the overpowering smell follows me when I leave the bathroom. I am not impressed with any B & B products. — 2 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

SOOOOOO DISAPPOINTED!
I browse through this site daily looking through reviews and getting info on my next go-to products. I needed a new hairspray, and decided to go with the B&B based on the fabulous reviews. I have longer length, slightly curly/wavy/frizzy hair, which I like to curl with a curling iron and set into place with spray. I couldn't be more disappointed and let down by a (rather expensive) product! If someone gave me a bottle of pure air, and a bottle of the B&B, I literally wouldn't notice any difference in terms of the product's performance. Although the B&B has a pleasant scent, it does NOTHING to hold my hair in place, and I mean nothing!!! I have held the sprayer down for up to 10 seconds consecutively, and within 1/2 an hour there's no hold whatsoever. I question whether or not my bottle was in some way damaged. I purchased it at the salon, but it was stored in direct sunlight and was very warm when i purchased it (the stylist said that would in no way affect the product's performance). $27.00 later I'm stuck with a useless can of air and frizzy, lifeless curls. I've used the bedhead masterpiece hairspray which works fabulous, as well as the loreal elnett. I'm switching back. This was one of the biggest beauty busts I've come across in quite some time, and I'm a shopaholic!!!!! — 2 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

Strong hold hairspray without the crunch
As a child of the 80s, I feel like my hairstyle is never done without a spritz --or two, three, five-- of hairspray. Fortunately with this formula, I can add as much spray as I want and my hair never gets crunchy. Not to say that you need that much, just that if you're as addicted as I am, you won't look like a mall refugee when you're done. — 4 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

A Must-Have!
i have been using this, and to my delight, it really doesn't have any characteristics of a traditional hairspray. it keeps the hold while leaving my hair soft and manageable. the most amazing thing about this spray is that it can be used with heat, sprayed on your hair before you style to create many styles, and/or after you have styled as a finishing spray! — 4 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

LOVE!
I work at a Bb sponsored hair salon and had only dabbled with the products before but I absolutely fell in love with this spray! It doesn't weigh down my thick hair, perks up my roots, and lasts and smells delicious while lasting! I want to buy one of the mini-cans for my purse! I'm addicted. — 4 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

magic hairspray!
This shouldn't be called hairspray -- it's just magic! Never sticky or rigid, neutral scent, awesome container. You can create almost any look with this stuff, from sleek updo's to funky faux-hawks! Absolute must-own product for me, worth every penny! — 4 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful
