Plus, it really minimizes it so it doesn't explode into a huge mess on your mouth. I will never be without this product again.   I wasn't too impressed

  I was under the impression that this would heal my cold sore right away but I had it for 10 to 15 and it was really painful. I also have a scar and I did nothing to aggravate it. I should have just let it run its course then added Mederma then I probably wouldn't have had the scar. Hopefully, my kids can use the stuff bec...   Abreva for cold sores not worth the cost

  I have used Abreva and can honestly say that it is not worth the price of $14.99. I have had faster healing with a old time favorite Campho-Phenique at a fraction of the cost at about $3.99. So, I have to say this product does not live up to what it claims. May 8, 2008, 6:54 am

  Fast Acting

  I was amazed at how fast Abreva got rid of my cold sore. Although it is pricey it works and is worth it. The only thing I'd say is don't bother with the pump as it wastes too much of the product. Buy the tube instead. April 30, 2008, 4:48 pm

  Works fast

  I rarely get cold sores, but my husband gets them all the time. We've tried many different brands / remedies for cold sores but this by far is the best. It cuts down the duration of the cold sore by a few days. I think it's a bit on the pricey side, but worth it for a few days less with an ugly cold sore on your mouth. April 30, 2008, 1:37 pm

  Even if you only get a cold sore every once in awhile it is a good idea to have some of this on hand. Once you start to feel a little tingle or chance that one is coming on you start using this stuff. I haven't gotten a full blown cold sore in years (knock on wood) and it's because of this wonderful stuff. April 29, 2008, 3:22 pm

  Abreva is better than any medicated lip remedy I have ever tried. I am prone to cold sores and have tried everything, including Carmex which at the time I thought was the best.   Only One I have Found That Works

  I have been cursed with cold sores almost all my life, so when I heard about Abreva I couldn't help but to give it a try, and to my surprise it really worked, it took the sting and burning and itching feeling away and most of the time if I caught it in time I would not even get a cold sore. I would reccomend this to any one...   The only one that works

  Put this on right when you feel the initial tingle. More times than not, the cold sore will not develop and the tingle goes away. It could be more soothing and the tube gets squished in the purse, but it's small enough to always carry it around. April 22, 2008, 2:56 pm
