Confession: Our usual two-week testing period for mascaras was compromised with Revlon's 3D Extreme Mascara. Why? Because the clumpy, chunky and dry formula is a disaster in a tube. Upon first use, the small caterpillar-looking brush deposited an insane amount of volume and length without clumps -- lashes looked "good-fake." But on day two, one coat looked like seven, and lashes were crusty and caked -- even after vigorously brushing them with a clean wand. So unless you aspire for Tammy Faye status, skip this.

    Raccoon Eyes

    by Clouds (1 review)
This is one of the worst mascaras I have ever used and I purchased 2 (CVS- buy 1 get one 1/2 price). It does not thicken it clumps because the mascara is too wet. Don't blink after applying or you will look like a raccoon. I don't have time in the morning to be fooling around with mascara. To make matter worse...it's ha...rd to get off at the end of the day. I've thrown away the first tube after using for only a week and will try to return the other to CVS for a refund. This product is a waste of your hard earned money. June 3, 2008, 6:31 am

    takes a little extra effort

the smaller brush takes some effort to get used to - i get it, you're supposed to be able to reach those hard-to-reach lashes but in doing so, you also end up with clumps of mascara here and there (despite wiping the brush before each use). once you actually get the mascara on your lashes and eliminate the clumps, it's pret...ty impressive - lashes do look longer and there's a noticible lift to open your eyes up. i just wish the application wasn't such a pain! (but it hurts to be cute, right? no one said it would be easy...) March 11, 2008, 9:24 am

    Reason for small brush!

    by mollie75 (3 reviews)
Just an FYI for those who do not appreciate the smaller brush. It is designed so you can more easily reach the inner and outer bottom lashes. It works wonders... Previous post mentioned scraping the brush prior to use especially when new. This is excellent advice (and is for any mascara) Also anyone who does not use a ...eyelash curler and metal eyelash (needle type) comb needs to try it. Huge difference. This product is awesome! Coming from a VERY experienced makeup conniseur. March 7, 2008, 10:45 pm

    Looooove it!

    by kimmeekat (1 review)
I will admit that I'm a straight up Dior girl, but in a moment of drugstore weakness I picked this up! It is awsome!! I work in a day spa and I got raves all day!! Its a bit rough removing it but well worth the lush black lashes I have all day! You do have to get used to using a smaller brush but take your time and the resu...lts are well worth it!! inconvenient but good

If you leave the brush as is out of the tube and apply, it is clumpy and you do need to wipe excess off and "do some repositioning" of the lashes. There is an art to using this stuff. It does give a nice effect if you get it right. April 23, 2008, 3:08 am

    Really yucky

    by Maddylyn (2 reviews)
I bought this product because of the description of lifting and curling, but it did nothing like that. It clumped and flaked and dried out within one week of purchase. I usually like Revlon products but this one is just awful. I do not recommend wasting money on it. March 1, 2008, 7:39 pm

    AWFUL clumps and flakes

    by bluehouse34 (5 reviews)
The brush is tiny, does not separates lashes and leaves clumps all over. I frequently hit my eyelid with it trying to get my lashes covered. Mess. Once you finally get it on, it FLAKES. Little black speckles on my cheeks. Reminded me of old Maybelline mascara from decades ago. February 27, 2008, 9:24 pm

    NO GOOD!

    by jillthethrill (8 reviews)
I purchased this mascara from Walmart because it was buy one get one free. However, I wish I wouldn't have. The brush does not look anything like the one shown and it is very small. The mascara also clumped up really bad and made my lashes stick together. I would not recommend this product to anyone. February 26, 2008, 6:39 am

    worked so well for me!

    by MONIQUE21 (7 reviews)
I have pretty long eyelashes, but even if you don't im sure it would still do the trick! I loved how it stayed on all day even though it isn't a waterproof product (which i hate!) I would recommend this product to anyone, it's a little more i believe than some other mascaras but was well worth it. Hope this review entices y...ou to give it a try! February 23, 2008, 1:49 am

    Lengthens my Lashes!

    by mariss00 (15 reviews)
Although the brush takes some adjusting, this product really lengthens my lashes. It's pretty cheap too. If it clumps you just need an eyelash comb. I don't think it's worth not using the product though. It's a good buy. December 27, 2009, 5:41 pm
