  I'm a lip gloss junkie so naturally I want to try each and every single one out there, no matter what the price or brand. This particular lipgloss was very sticky and felt disgusting on my lips. It literally made my lips feel as though it was suffocating. As soon as I put it on, I couldn't wait to get it off. No worries... though because like many glosses no matter what the price, it comes right off after eating and drinking. Color pay off wasn't too bad but I guess if you want a real cheap gloss, this will do...if you can stand the sticky, tacky feeling. May 7, 2009, 11:03 pm

  A dollar or three would seem like an appealing price for a lipgloss doesn't it? With this New York Color lipgloss, it's hardly even worth a quarter, no offense. While it comes in a skinny square tube with a sponge wand, the product was so thick, it feels dreadful pulling it out and even worse being applied as my lips get ...tucked around and peeling some skin to make my lips appear chapped, it was just a throbbing, excruciating process for a makeup application. It is so thick and sticky, it can be compared to icing or frosting on a homemade cake, gah! The scent isn't exactly pleasing on these imposters either, I've had other drugstore lipglosses smell better than this sucker. Toss it out! May 13, 2008, 6:41 am

  Ehhhhh......

  Okay now if your on a VERRRRY tight budget this would be the gloss i would tell you to buy, because you can work with it. However, this product is very thick,tastes bad, and is extremely sticky. This color they're showing is the one my good friend uses religiously, she gobs it on all the time and it makes her look like a me...tallic monster.I would stay away. February 10, 2008, 10:22 am

  Good as a lip balm

  I have this in three different colors. It's cheap, it does deposit color, it's not sticky, and it doesn't taste or smell horrible. It also doesn't stay on long and the colors are not all that flattering for grown-ups. I actually use it over a lip conditioner that I use at night. I helps lock in moisture and I wake up wi...th super soft lips. It also works well alone as a pretty decent lip balm. I just don't wear it out in public. since it's super, super shiny.   This is a pretty good lip gloss for the price...I have this in #554U "Sungold Pink" and it reminds me of a very famous lip gloss by NARS. The gloss goes on thick but light and the color is perfect it just doesn't last that long! September 9, 2009, 9:49 am

  Great value for the price!

  I have this in Shade #550 and love it. The consistency is nice, and color is great for my skin tone, and its really, really inexpensive. That makes it easy to try out different colors without regret! August 31, 2009, 3:58 pm

  Sufficient?

  i bought this product in the Au Naturel shade. i like the shade, but not too fond of the thickness. the best way to wear it would be to not rub your lips together at all so you'll forget how thick it is. it's a good product for the price tough, i paid $1.87 at meijer for it.   While this gloss isn't the best out there, it definitely gives you more than what you expect from it's extremely low price tag. It moisturizes, isn't sticky, wears fairly well, and comes in a variety of shades that work on everyone. For the price, you really cannot beat the quality. May 2, 2009, 11:03 pm

  Decent Budget Gloss

  Not bad for a cheap alternative to lipgloss. It is thick and smells like perfume but personally I think it's decent. Doesn't last long like others and the shine is crazy sometimes but for a quick gloss and different choices of nice colors it's ok. My favorite is the one shown which is Pink Sand.   I like long lasting lip glosses, like Victoria Secret Beauty Rush Lip Gloss (I'll be mad if they stop selling them), but the color and the price are great. Great for parties because of the shine. March 4, 2009, 2:55 am
