They just reformulated these lipglosses (as of 12/11). They are certainly an improvement over the old gloss. I found that the gloss was less goopy, did not turn in the tube as quickly, and had better pigmentation. The new applicator tip is very thin, long, and flexible, but I actually found it more difficult to use on the lips. The product is still a bit sticky and doesn't last particularly long. I have this in three different colors. It's cheap, it does deposit color, it's not sticky, and it doesn't taste or smell horrible. It also doesn't stay on long and the colors are not all that flattering for grown-ups. I actually use it over a lip conditioner that I use at night. I helps lock in moisture and I wake up with super soft lips. It also works well alone as a pretty decent lip balm. I bought this lip gloss in 3 colors, all of which were complimentary to any lip liner or lipstick I wore underneath them. The best part aside from the cost of about $1.99 is the fact that this gloss doesn’t feel heavy, sticky or gooey on your lips. My lips actually feel better after wearing this gloss. A dollar or three would seem like an appealing price for a lipgloss doesn't it? With this New York Color lipgloss, it's hardly even worth a quarter, no offense. While it comes in a skinny square tube with a sponge wand, the product was so thick, it feels dreadful pulling it out and even worse being applied as my lips get tucked around and peeling some skin to make my lips appear chapped, it was just a throbbing, excruciating process for a makeup application. It is so thick and sticky, it can be compared to icing or frosting on a homemade cake, gah! The scent isn't exactly pleasing on these imposters either, I've had other drugstore lipglosses smell better than this sucker. It's not the worst lip gloss I've ever used, but it's pretty close. The colors don't show up badly, but the gloss itself has such a bad texture that you wouldn't want to wear it: it's really thick and sticky as tape and smells weird to boot. It certainly isn't long-lasting & won't give you a high shine finish.
