Good and bad
Calms redness overnight, but clogs pores because of its heavy, thick texture. Balsam peru isn't the best ingredient for skin (it can cause dermatitis when applied topically) and there's a lot of it in this cream, so I only use it in case of extreme redness emergency. There are better anti redness products out there-- some that won't clog pores. Heals skin faster
Out of all the Mario Badescu products, I find myself using this the most. If you're like me and pop blemishes way too much, or if there is anything on your face that needs healing, this cream speeds up the healing process better than anything else I know of. If calms the skin, helps with redness, and is especially great if you have any scabs forming. It keeps the area from drying out and losing the scab too soon which makes scarring or blotching more likely. My skin doesn't just flake after a pimple dries up, but because of the seborrhea, I peel like a snake! I use this and the redness is gone almost instantly. Worked ok for me
I tried a generous sample of the drying cream and found the cream worked decently if you have occasional acne. It did not work for cystic acne though. This stuff is amazing!
I have been dealing with adult acne for 20 years and I use this product along with the drying lotion. The healing cream is important. It helps any blemishes or other skin imperfections heal up sometimes in hours but definitely overnight.
