I do not even need conditioner now!

I love this shampoo! It lathers gorgeously and richly (which REALLY surprised me). I do not even have to use a conditioner after using this product. I have used this bar, alternated with another one (Squeeky Green) and they have lasted 3 months so far. I am sure I have another month or so's use out of it. I shampoo every other day, btw. Definitely worth the $9.95 a bar. No packaging = better too! Did not notice a smell with this bar either.

Great smell that keeps on going

This shampoo has the best smell ever! Everybody who I ask disagrees on the smell but I would say its kind of herbally, kind of citrusy, and kind of flowery....but you may completely disagree. Either way, to most people, its a pleasing scent (as with most Lush products). So I was excited to try out my first product-the Ultimate Shine solid shampoo. After talking with the saleslady, I seleted this one because of its scent and promise of shine. I bought it with a tin because I was away on a vacation and needed to travel with it, so my total purchase was about $15-a little pricey for just one shampoo (but I'm assuming I can re-use the tin for other shampoos). Anyway, after 2 uses I can confirm that the scent stays strong after the wash-when I showered in the morning my hair smelled great, and when I went to bed at night it still smelled just as good. But, it didnt give me the shine that I wanted....which may be because of the bad hotel water/shower...Anyways, this product is great if you want something that smells good, but may not offer you the shine that you are looking for.

Love this!

I got this bar for free with a promotion, and would have never chosen a solid shampoo before. Now, I'm addicted! It doesn't have a great smell like other Lush products/liquid shampoos -- it smells kind of herbally. However, the smell does not linger in my hair, nor is it very strong. I use this 3-4 times a week, it is my fav out of all their solid shampoos. It doesn't add much shine to my hair (...read moreor at least I don't notice) but it makes it softer. The bar is sooo easy to use, you just rub it in your hands and you get a ton of lather. It feels really light. The only gripe is that once I left it on the ledge and it was under a shower's worth of running water and I lost like 1/2 of it. I'll need to go back to Lush and buy the tin! I definitely recommend this. :)

They do last but...

this particular bar seems to be almost exclusively made of cleansing agent.

The best shampoo

I have gotten so many compliments on how shiny and beautiful my hair is after using this. It's absolutely my favorite shampoo ever. Also, it's essential for travel, because you can wash not only your hair, but your body and even clothes. And there's no need to worry about it leaking in your suitcase since it's a solid shampoo. And if I believe in it enough to convince my friends to switch shampoos, that's even better. I love this, and I can't stress strongly enough how shiny it makes my hair.

Perfect for the gym

This shampoo really does add shine. It's good to travel with because it's solid and doesn't need to be less then 3 oz. I really like to use this at the gym because I don't have to be afraid of anything leaking in my gym bag. Using solid shampoo feels weird at first but, once you realize it doesn't take much lather to wash your hair (my hair is very long) you'll feel more comfortable. The shamp...read moreoo bars last a long time. If you buy two or more shampoo bars you get a free tin, or you can purchase one. My only complaint about this product has to do with the tins. They can be hard to get open when you are in the shower.

Fantastic for travel

I used this bar while traveling in west Africa for six months and it lasted for almost the entire time I was there. Better still, it made my hair feel terrific, even without using conditioner - for it's price, it was a terrific buy. I not only loved how it made my hair feel, but also how it was natural and cruelty free. I would recommend getting the tin for the shampoo bars. I didn't have it and...read more it was always a bit tricky when taking short trips and I would have to wrap it in the Lush wrapper and then in a plastic baggie.
