    Not up to snuff...

    by Rhowan (24 reviews)

I was so excited when I saw this commercial and saw something that looked new and different. I was so excited when I purchased it and couldn't wait to have a chance to try it! My nieces wedding was the next day and so instead of my false eyelashes, I opted for the CG Lashblast thinking that if it worked like it said, I woul...d look great! This was sooo bad. It gobbed on!It didn't go on like normal mascara and as much as I tried to work it in to my eyelashes it just gobbed all over onto my eyelid and under eye area. I decided to give up but to try it again later when I wasn't going somewhere special. I pulled it out again after reading somewhere that you really had to swipe the brush off on the side. Still no good, it's clumpy and gobby and just doesn't do a thing for my eyes. I really wanted it to work though. March 9, 2008, 12:17 am

    For Thick and Full Lahses

First off, a little bit about my lashes. I have stick straight lashes that point downward. I have a typical asian shaped eye with no crease. I'd say my lashes are fairly long, but they're kind of thin and the lack of curl makes them pretty unremarkable. The worst part of it is - they don't hold curl for longer than 10 m...inutes. I can spend 20 -30 minutes with a eyelash curler and mascara and think i've got a good look going, only to see them deflated by the time i'm out the door. So what mascara works? Lash blast does! After I've curled my lashes, the mascara definitely adds a lot of thickness and fullness to my lashes. I've tried a lot of mascara and they don't match the rich color that Lashblast gives me. It's a little tricky to use the big brush -you need to spend a few minutes making sure it doesn't clump, but it's well worth it! The brush is unique, holds a lot of product and coats my lashes well. At its price, it's well wroth it, but i can't give it a 10 since it's a bit tricky to use and it isn't a mascara that keeps my lashes curled. April 18, 2008, 3:23 pm

Does what it promises!!! I love it ;)

    by Breezyshine (10 reviews)
I bought this mascara today and did a test trial: one eye with straight lashes and one eye with curled lashes. The results were the same - big, glossy fanned out lashes. Amazing! Don't let the huge brush throw you off, because it's actually much easier to put on than it looks, as long as you know how to apply mascara fa...irly well. Plus, I love the loud orange color and huge easy-to-grip tube. Five stars February 8, 2008, 5:54 pm

This is my all-time favorite mascara!

    by thefashionablehousewife (12 reviews)
The new Covergirl LashBlast Volume Blasting Mascara in Black is amazing. This one has a rubber brush like Max Factor, but it's much fatter. The container is quite large, so I find that it takes a little more finesse to apply, but in the end produces an even less clumpy lash than Max Factor. I have a new favorite!! I have v...ery thin, sparse eyelashes and if I don't wear mascara, you can't even tell that I have eyelashes. So now, it's the one thing I won't leave the house without, even if I'm going swimming. Thank goodness Covergirl also made a waterproof version of LashBlast! (Look for the blue label.) I have found that many times, the waterproof version of mascara is thinner and is almost sticky when applying it. But the LashBlast waterproof mascara applies the same and looks just as good as the non-waterproof version. So yes, I must say that Covergirl LashBlast Volume Blasting Mascara is my new favorite. I hope that they will improve the container, as that is my only complaint. The product itself is nearly flawless and makes my eyelashes look great every time. June 3, 2008, 8:08 am

    CoverGirl LashBlast

This mascara is one of the biggest marketing ploys I've ever seen. CoverGirl is actually managing to swindle $8 or so out of us for mascara!? It's CoverGirl. They really jumped on the plastic-bristled brush bandwagon with this one. The wand itself has a large diameter, though the bristles (which do the work) are really ...quite short. The formula itself is fairly thin, though it manages to dry out after only a few weeks. Mistakes are easy to make during application. So, this is certainly not for beginners. June 2, 2008, 2:26 am

    CoverGirl Lashblast Volume Blasting Mascara

    by krazmomx3 (7 reviews)
After being a die-hard L'Oreal Voluminous fan for years, I grew tired of reading all those positive things about CG Lash Blast. I just had to find out if all the hype is worth it. I've tried those crappy rubber or plastic lash applicators before and really just hated them. They always managed to clump my thin lashes togethe...r and give me a Tammy Fay Baker look. Even my 16 year old daughter is sold on this stuff, so I gave it a try. I think the thickness factor is similar in both the L'Oreal Voluminous and the Cover Girl Lash Blast. However, I think the CG seems to comb through a little better, so the lashes appear neater with the CG. I noticed the CG tends to flake after about 8 hours, which has never been a problem with my L'Oreal, so there was a strike against it. I'm still not completely sold on this stuff. I'm going to keep using it, to see if it dries up in the tube as fast as L'Oreal does, but since the price is pretty equivalent to the L'Oreal, I don't know if I'll repurchase. CG Lashblast delivers!

    by Drugstor3_Lady (3 reviews)
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this mascara! If you are looking for a mascara that gives you insane lashes then this is the product for you! I saw the Drew Barrymore commercial, saw all the ads popping up in beauty mags, and heard all the idle chatter and decided to give it a try. But of course it took me while to find ...it. The stuff is sold out almost everywhere!! But I found it at my local CVS and it was on sale for $4!!! Yeah I snatched it and ran home to try it right away. So now I know what the big deal is and why it's sold out everywhere. It doesn't flake or smudge. This mascara really does give your lashes a blast! I love the shape and color of the mascara bottle and even the mascara wand. Though at first I wasn't sure about the plastic bristles on the mascara wand I've since changed my mind and embraced....and so will u :) January 30, 2008, 10:44 am

    The Best Drugstore Mascara

    by Dao (19 reviews)
I bought this mascara at Walmart last week after so many weeks of hunting it down. This product claims to give you look-at-me lashes and it does live up to its reputation. I have stick-straight thin and stubby lashes and after only 2 coats, it gives me dramatic volume and length. I also have oily skin on the lid but the non...-waterproof version doesn't seem to smudge or smear at all. It actually feels quite comfortable. The two things I would appreciate changes are (a) flaking after about 8 hours after application and (b) non-curling effect after some time. The wand is a bit confusing for some ladies but I got hold of it from my first use. It's quite chunky so you need to find angles to get to the lashes at the corners of your eyes. Other than that, it's a wonderful mascara for less than $8. I love this mascara, would purchase it again. May 30, 2008, 9:09 am

One of the best mascaras I've ever tried

    by jewelboxdreams (31 reviews)
    Total Beauty Blogger
I've tried a lot of mascaras, and Lashblast is one of the best (even compared to the high end department store brands). It does an excellent job lengthening/lifting/blackening my lashes, with no smudging and hardly any flaking at the end of the day. My lashes look great -- very black and dense. The brush is fatter than usua...l, and does take a bit of getting used to, but I think it's worth the effort. My one complaint in the strange shape of the tube -- why the wide middle? A little too big

    by Butterflikessiz (22 reviews)

This mascara works good for the upper lashes. it takes a little getting used to. But for the bottom lashes it's a little too difficult. I usually ended up with smudges while trying to apply to my lower lashes. it wasn't worth the effort. It came off rather well and stayed on well too! it's worth a try if you think you can h...andle the big brush! April 25, 2008, 11:01 pm
