The Best Of The Best Of The Best
If I could only have 5 products to my name this would be one them...a cream blush. If I could only have one blush this would be it. I have never in my life used such an incredible blush. Totally and completely awesome. The best of the best of the best. In fact I would have to say it is one of the three best products I have ever used, regardless of what it was for, that I have ever used on my physical body. I did an extensive research on cream blushes just to find out what was out there that may compare to Paula Dorf's just in case it may be discontinued. It took quite some time and my findings were that there is not one product like this anywhere to be found. What's it like? Well I will try my best to let you know, but really, it is something you are going to have to experience for yourself. First off there are enough colors to make anyone happy with. It is a nice size to carry if you are one to carry blush around with you. No big compact with a lot of excess plastic to make it bulkier. It is just enough to contain the product. The packaging also has a clear top so that if you have more than one color it is easy to locate which one you want. Now here comes the first awesome part, the texture. How can I describe this? Well it is a cream blush but not creamy in the aspect of what we think of when we hear 'cream blush'. It is not thick or heavy in any way. Yet it is not a silicone type with that slick feeling. Use this application method: Rub your first three fingers (or brush, I'll get to this in a moment) around the smooth texture and them kind of blot your fingers on the area you wish to cover. Then you blend it with the same 3 fingers held together. You don't rub, you just kind of move your three fingers over the area like a wisp of air, lightly smoothing over. It just magically blends itself. No pressing, rubbing or many short strokes you would normally have to do with a cream blush. The feel is just...lighter than air. You can reapply more if you want and it performs just like the first time. Here is the hard part though...it feels so wonderful you do not want to stop!!! But you have to unless you want to look like a clown. Tomorrow is another day!! Now about applying it with a brush. Paula sells a brush just for this blush. I have it too. It is a great brush...very well designed and works well too. It is angled and moves across your cheekbones or apples of your cheeks beautifully. But.... I mostly do not use it. Why you may ask, if it is such a nice brush? Well for a couple of reasons. One is that if you put the brush on the blush you will end up loosing product. I do not care what they say. Experience will give you the truth. If you choose to use the brush then use it to blend only, once you have applied the product to your face with your fingers. Secondly, well if you use a brush you never get to FEEL the incredible texture and how it whispers across your cheeks. I have used a few colors but am set on Candy Apple now because it is the most economical and is a beautiful color once applied. It is actually their number one selling color. You get a good saturation of color with way less product. True you won't get to keep applying it in order to continue feeling the very addictive texture and application experience. You can wear it over foundation or over just bare skin. It does not mater what you put it on top of. I also use it for an eye shadow. So pretty. Actually I am going to get another one just for that purpose alone. It leaves the most beautiful finish, so very natural. It literally melds with your skin. You can apply a light dusting of a sheer powder blush over it if you want, for an added pop or if you have very oily skin. But do not shy away from this just because it says cream. It is not what you think. You can also add a light dusting of a shimmer if you like that look. Powders are very easy to apply over it. It does not leave your skin feeling sticky, or for that matter even creamy. Your skin just feels like skin. It also wears very well but for the oiliest of skins you may want to top it with a powder. If I had the money I would give every woman in the world this blush. The price is ok too considering how long it lasts, providing you get candy apple. Well after all this talk I think I may go put just a dab on, I won’t get carried away…I promise…just one more time…until tomorrow!! — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Best color for pale cool tones???
Ectasy. Light pinky/plummy sheen....perfect for those of us pale girls who don't like to look as if we have rubbed orange mud on our faces, or bright ping tinkerbell lipstick either (for that matter).
