Sally Hansen Line Smoothing Airbrush Primer Reviews

this is nice
i couldnt get the airbrush thing to work for me, so i end up spraying it on my hand and then smoothing it on, but it sets makeup well and lasts longer than makeup alone, and it does fill in pores like youd hope. nice price and good amount of product too, and the spray type dispenser at least makes sure your product stays fresh and uncontaminated, even if i couldnt spray it right on my face! — 5 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 7 of 7 people said helpful

just ok
maybe it's just me, but I just don't get primers. I don't seem to notice any benefits to using them and they seem to change the consistency of my foundation. It didn't seem to go on as smooth as it usually does. I wouldn't buy again. — 4 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Not impressed
First of all, it says right on the directions "spray directly into hand and apply to face"... so those of you who say that spraying it across your face didn't work, it's not supposed to! Read the directions! Anyways I was not impressed with this primer. It has little flecks of shimmer in it, it smells weird, it is only 1 oz, I don't feel like it moisturized my skin at all, and I noticed absolutely no difference in the feel or look of my skin. — 4 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

Not the best primer but is pretty good for the price
When I sprayed this product into my hand I was afraid to use it because it was foamy. But it felt ok when I applied it to my face, and then used the airbrush foundation over it. It does make my pores appear smaller and makes my foundation last longer. I think there are be better primers out there though most cost quite a bit more. — 4 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Beyond disgusting!!!
I'm an avid lover of Sally Hansen's Airbrush Legs product, but had mixed feelings when they first introduced their Airbrush Makeup line a few years ago. Well I just noticed that they have added the Airbrush Primer to the line, so I decided to give it a try. For starters, just like their Airbrush Makeup, this is NOT an item that is sprayed directly onto your face. You actually have to spray it onto your hand or sponge and then blend into the skin. Sorry but the "airbrush" claim on this product, or for this entire line rather, is far from what it really is. Product Description Hydrating Primer with Retinol Smoothes, Firms and Perfects Skin! * Fills in fine lines to help skin appear visibly smooth. * Weightless formula with Retinol and Anti-Oxidant Vitamins smoothes skin's texture. * Minimizes the appearance of pores. * Helps reduce redness and moisturizes for hours. * Optical diffusers help skin look younger and incredibly flawless. * Perfect for all skin tones. * Wear alone or under makeup. * Dermatologist Tested - Hypoallergenic - Non-Comedogenic. When I sprayed the product from the aerosol can onto my hand I really did not like the texture. It looked like bubbly milk and smelled weird. I applied it on my face and found it difficult to blend as well. Once I completed the application I was not left with a velvety skin surface like primers are supposed to do, and also my skin still looked visibly oily in certain places. I applied my makeup as usual, and found that it wore off through the day as if I had not applied any type of primer whatsoever. In addition for those with sensitive skin, you may find that this product may also sting as well. Thus, this was not what I expected it to be and nope I will not be buying it again. I will continue to stick with my MAC Prep + Prime as my primer of choice! Rating Price: $7.99 @ drugstores Quality: 1 out of 5 Selection: 1 out of 5 Packaging: 1 out of 5 Desired Result: 1 out of 5 Overall Rating: 1 SMOOCH Would I buy this again?: Nope — 4 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 4 people said helpful

just OK
i'm with another reviewer. i don't really get primers either. they all seem to just add oil to my complexion, even the so-called oil-free ones. this one is OK. it does minimize the look of pores, but it doesn't seem to fill in my fine lines. and i end up a shiny mess before lunch. my olay regenerist daily serum seems to work better than any primer i've tried. — 4 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

There are better primers out there.
I like primers - need them! I have over 40 skin with lines and pores, you know, so I try a lot of them, and this is my least favorite! In order for it to be sprayed, it has to have alcohol, which is drying even on my oily skin. It just doesn't give enough coverage or 'slip' that is needed in a good primer. Try the new Revlon. — 4 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

This is a very good prodct
usually would not purchase a primer, but I did for the military ball, and my skin looked flawless, and freckles did not show through — 5 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful
