I received this as a sample, and when I used it I was only wearing a small amout of eyeshadow. It removed the bit of makeup I was wearing and it seems very gentle which is pretty good; it does have a heavy scent in cucumber but it was so slimy and gooey that it almost grossed me out. It didn't lather at all, but it rinsed off very clean.
