No Effect That I Can See

As other reviewers have noted, JOEY New York Pure Pores Gel smells kind of strange. It's also kind of messy while you're applying it, although it does dry fairly quickly like a gel face mask. I used up a bottle of this, and I didn't see any difference in my skin at all. I think it's about as effective as a basic gel mask that you might get at the drugstore, but significantly more expensive. All in all, it didn't do much for me.

Worth a try

I went into this with no expectations. I was able to get it at a discount so I thought I'd give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised how smooth my skin looked after just one application; however, the smell is awful! If you can get past the scent, then I think this is a great product. It doesn't attack blackheads as much as I hoped, but it REALLY makes an impressive difference by reducing pore size.

It Works

the product is very strong and does burn your skin a little - after I applied it my skin looked like I had a blister red sun burn, but the stinging was very much bearable - after the first use I noticed my skin looked much more clearer - I don't see necessary my pores get smaller - but that might take a few more treatments

Stings very badly - NOT for sensitive skin

The smell is very strong and just as the instructions had forewarned, I felt that burning sensation at work. The bottle says you can use it 2-3x/week but I think this would be best used once/week. I noticed a slight decrease in blackheads after one use, but nothing miraculous. I didn't like the results enough to suffer through the pain and horrible smell repeatedly - I gave it away to my younger sister!

My favorite exfollient

I have been searching my local department stores for this product for quite some time. I worked as a model on QVC when Joey New York sold its products on-air. I was lucky to demo this line live and keep the product after use. To me, this is by far the best way to exfolliate my skin. I find that cleansers or any product with "beads" or exfollients that you massage onto the skin and ri...read morense off are not effective as this product. You literally apply and leave on for a minute and you then "roll off" dead skin cells or flakiness. I occasionally apply to many drying agents and as a result my skin is flaky. This product eliminates my need to apply a heavy moisturizer for days to remedy this dryness.
