I love velvet!

Surge Is Not the Right Term
Starluxe (298 reviews)The name Colour Surge is kind of an oxymoron for this product considering that there are more mixing medium ingredients than pigment itself. I find making dramatic smokey eyes with this requires a few layers to get a better color payoff but it is a decent price to pay for a higher end up makeup item but the quality should also be up to par to hyperpigmented formulas like MAC. Clinique is known as a natural beauty brand but I expected different from this line and expected it to stand out above all their other cosmetic products. — 3 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Buying Guide
12 Best Eye Shadows -
Good matte, but pricey
TwoBirds (284 reviews)Like other reviewers I find the lack of color options very disappointing in this line. And like all Clinique shadows I find the color saturation is only average. The positives is that they go on evenly, last long with the use of a primer and are non-irritating. I also like the velvets because I can also use them as an eyeliner with my eyeliner brush. However, since it is only average I generally don't pay for them and just enjoy them if they come as a bonus with my other purchases. — 2 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
