This shave gel starts out as a gel and them foams up. It smells decadent and leaves my legs very soft. True to Aveeno standards, my legs are never irritated or get razor bumps. I have never used an oatmeal-based shave gel before, and I was curious as well as skeptical about a shave gel by Aveeno, but I don't regret buying this one. I have been using Satin Care for a long time so the natural scent of this gel is a bit new and weird for me. But it gives very good & smooth shave. The texture is rich, but does not leave any residue on my skin. It is more expensive than my regular brand, but a little bit of it goes a long way. Best Shaving Cream I've found
The consistency of this shaving cream reminds me of the stuff my father had buffed onto his face at the barbers--its really thick and creamy, even though it comes out translucent! It also moisturizes FAR better than even using thick conditioner not to mention its a better price. It says fragrance free on the bottle, but that is not true. There is a faint smell of almond extract that always makes me think of almond biscotti--yum! I find that it does not irritate my skin nor causes breakouts (a big concern of mine), but since I typically don't have ingrown problems, I couldn't say if the claims are true. Only Shave Gel I Recommend
I absolutely love this shave gel. The smell is pleasant and not-at-all overpowering. My skin is pretty sensitive, and this is the one gel I've used that helps prevent razor bumps and burns. Best shaving cream I know!
My underarms are very sensitive and I times my legs too. This shave gel doesn't allow me to get cut my the razor and it leaves my skin smoothe. I tried only using body wash to shave my legs but I ended up having a bad cut and still today I have the scar. Shaving cream is the safest and most effective way especially this one.
