My family has gone through every formula offered by Herbal Essences. We run into the same problem every time...build up. The first 2 or 3 times this worked great and then it starting building up and giving all 4 of us (2 adults, 2 teenagers) oily roots and frizzy ends. I tried the Color Me Happy on my daughter's color treated hair and her color was still washing out. I recently dyed my hair for the first time after recievibg a free box of dye from Clairol and decided to purchase this shampoo and conditioner since HE is a division of Clairol which is a division of P&G Brands. Anyways anyone who has ever dyed their hair will know that it really does dry it out and make it brittle. This conditioner didn't extend the life of my color, but it did deliver on its promise to moisturize and increase shine. It smells scrumptious and manages to be both lightweight (it won't weigh your hair down, I promise) and rich at the same time. When I apply this, I immediately feel my hair soften, and the softness stays long after I've rinsed it out. To put it simply, I didn't feel that this conditioner (paired with it's matching shampoo) helped my color last any longer. It also made my hair flatter than usual, while somehow not offering enough moisture to my ends.
