  I use this everyday!!!! My skin is not oily and not too dry. So I am right in the middle. I recommend this for you if you are also in the middle. My face never gets oily but it does get dry sometimes and this moisturizing gel makes my skin perfect after I put it on. I put it on Before I go to sleep and when I wake up in the... moring after I wash my face. But you do not need to use it that often I have just become addicted to it. You can use it just on small dry areas and that will help. YOu can also use the lotion they have, and that is for more oily skin so if you have more oily skin then I would go with that, but either product works great becuase I used the lotion for one yera, but then I switched to the gel and I haven't gone back.   I have oily skin that is also very sensitive. I bought this product because I also live in hot and humid climate and I wanted to try a new moisturizer. I know that even though I have oily skin that I still need to moisture my face. So, that is why I decided to purchase this product. As, it specifically addressses oily skint...ypes and people living in hot and humid climates. I am so glad that I did take a chance and buy this product. Because, it really delivers on its claims. It moisturizes my face without leaving it greasy. Also, it doesn't breakout me out. So, as long as Clinique makes this wonderful product, I will continue to buy it! May 21, 2008, 7:20 am

  Greasy, sticky, thick, pore clogging, oily, heavy. This is usually the set of adjectives used to described different moisturizers, however, this product was just the opposite. It provides adequate moisture for oily to combination skin types without leaving a trace and the skin drinks it up. This will not deface a makeup ...or foundation finish nor will it contribute to hypersensitivity issues, it's arguably one of the best foundations in the market. Also for the amount that lasts quite awhile, a top standard gel moisturizer does sell at a reasonable price. Three months later, I'm only at the half mark but of course everyone will have different usage amounts. This is a recommendation to anyone finding an alternative to their current moisturizer.   I'm so glad Clinique finally made this in a gel version for oilier skin. The original lotion was already close to perfect, but this slightly different version is even more fantastic. Keeps oily skin less shiny, wears extremely well under makeup. It really really really does live up to its claims of improving your skin over ...time. You'll have plumper, softer more supple skin within a month! You might want to get a makeup primer or makeup with SPF in it though to protect you from the sun, as this does not have any SPF in it.   Love it!

  This is one of my favorite products of all time. When Clinique first debuted it I bought a bottle and have been hooked ever since. I love the hydrating gel because it never leaves my face feeling greasy or oily...my skin literally drinks it up as soon as I put it on. I use it year-round, although it's especially nice during... the fall/winter when the air is cold and dry and offers little protection to my skin. I have also gotten several of my friends hooked on this because the dramatically different moisturizing lotion is way too heavy for combination skins. It also lasts for a really long time so it's basically an investment in your skin. I would recommend this product for anyone, regardless of their skin type. December 27, 2007, 5:38 am

  I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT!

  I've been using this (the gel, NOT the lotion. the lotion is way greasy) since I was 12! (I'm 16 years old) and its the absolute, best thing that could have ever happened to me. After reading the bad reviews about it being greasy or drying, I think they may have mixed it up with the lotion! The lotion goes on greasy, then d...ries out your skin when its absorbed. The gel is absolutely perfect. I suggest EVERYONE to at least try it, it might change your life, it did to mine! and yes, I realize I sound insane for making this big of deal out of it.   Doesn\'t work for everyone

  Despite almost universal praise for Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer (the \"yellow lotion\"), there are those that do not see this as a panacea. I am one of the few for whom this product did not provide any benefits. I found the texture of the lotion to be comfortably thick on my fingers, but turned m...y face into an oil slick. I have combination skin and this lotion made my face even shinier. The area around my mouth also became dry and patchy. I stopped using this and within days, my skin condition improved. When I gave this a second (and third and fourth) try, the same irritations appeared. I am baffled since the product is hypoallergenic, yet my skin is definitely allergic to one or more of the ingredients. I would strongly suggest people overlook all the high reviews and TRY the product first before committing to buy. This holds true for all products. December 20, 2007, 5:58 am

  Clinique a new face for oldie but goodie

  Clinique has trully out done themselves by taking their Dramatically Different Moisurizer from a cream to a gel. I 've used this product for years but as I got older mosituriziers started to make me feel hotter yet going without one would make my skin look older. That's when I found the Clinique Moisturizing Gel. It keeps m...y skin soft and smooth, without being to heavy and making me feel warmer.   skin care staple

  I just turned 40 early this year, 2007 but I still get carded once in a while (all modesty aside)... and so whenever any of my friends ask me what my beauty "secret"/ routine is, I always say, a lot of it is from using Clinique's 3-step and I've been using Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel for ...about 10 years until they introduced the Gel version a year or so ago. It really does what it's supposed to do--keep your skin moisturized and look so much younger. It worked for me all these years so I would definitely recommend it! November 12, 2007, 6:08 pm

  I swear by it

  I have extremely sensitive skin and I've tried close to every moisturizing product that there is, or so it seems. Up until now I haven't been able to find anything that both tackles my senstive and dry skin. I've used both of the creams, the gel and the lotion, but I love the gel because it leaves my skin feeling refreshed ...and light, compared to the lotion that leaves almost a thicker layer. As well because my skin is so sensitive the gel doesn't seem to irritate my skin at all, vs the lotion that leaves a kind of stinging feeling. I use it every day and wouldn't leave home without it.
