This duo of eye-color-specific shadow takes the guesswork out of pairing all-over hue and a contouring color (and where to apply each) with a handy picture guide inside. Although shades appear heavy and matte in the package, they go on sheerer and more wearable than you'd think. The gripes: Color creases after three or four hours, the teeny sponge applicator is too stiff to blend properly, the packaging can pop open in your bag and the mini mirror is too small to be useful for anything other than touch-ups.

      I got this as part of the Pretty in Paris set. I love how small and compact it was. The magnetic closure is great too (one of my favorite style of closures). This is great for on the go because it has really appropriate applicators with a built in mirror. However, I tend to use this at home so I like using a brush for bette...r application and blending. The shadows are very silky and pretty highly pigmented. The combination is also great to bring out brown eyes. December 2, 2007, 11:22 am

      great colors

      I got the one with the brown and lilac shadows as a gift. The colors kind of looked intimidating, like they belonged in a 70's disco at 4 am. They went on beautifully! The colors were soft and smooth, and using the little guide it comes with gives a good basic idea. Lasted the whole night too. July 14, 2008, 6:43 am
