Heavy but Good (if you can get past the scent)

      by danlaw (5 reviews)
This is a cream of natural ingredients that is heavy and emollient. I have combo skin but normal and dry not at oily. I liked the way this cream treated my skin, BUT it is highly fragrant from the essential oils. In that regard it's really to much for me at night while I try to sleep. November 30, 2007, 8:57 am

Don't stop to smell these (Prim)Roses!

      by Veronica (13 reviews)
I got the smaller version of this in one of the facial sample kits. It's incredibly thick - it feels like soft butter mixed with soft wax. But, I braved past that to try it for a few days. It made my skin feel...different.. in the morning. Not sure if it was good or bad. But, it made my skin break out. I think it clogged a ...lot of pores, although it claims it won't. In hindsight, I don't know how something so thick can be good on your face. October 11, 2007, 11:38 am

      Miracle Creme for Skin Disorders

      by halo4nothing (1 review)
I have severe facial dermatitis, which results in raw, itchy, red and extremely swollen eyelids. My flare-ups would leave me in tears and nearly blind from eyelids so affected they had swollen almost completely shut. Nothing worked to alleviate my pain and discomfort. I was in a state of utter desperation when I stumbled... upon Burt’s Bees Evening Primrose Overnight Crème. I put it on after gently washing my face and went to bed. I woke up shocked the next morning when my eyelids weren't as red and itchy and they were slightly less swollen!! I quickly put more on and in less than 2 days my eyes were 100% normal again with no itching, swelling or pain!!!!! I have only once run out of this product since and my eyes flared up horribly, making it mandatory for me take measures to never run out again. This crème for me is nothing short of a miracle! It's helped me get my life back! Seriously. January 24, 2009, 1:04 pm

      Very thick - dislike

      by Veronica (13 reviews)
This creme has the consistency that melted butter has as it solidifies. It's very thick, very greasy. It was horrible on my face. I keep it around and use it on my cuticles, however. Works great there. October 31, 2007, 3:22 pm

      Primrose heals

      by booey0524 (12 reviews)
I like the natural quality of this cream. When I put it on at night and wake up the next morning, my skin tone looks completely even. For some reason this cream gets rid of the redness in my face overnight. Primrose is suppose to heal a lot of skin disorders too. I would take off 3 stars only because of the oilyness factor,... price, and smell. June 9, 2009, 2:44 pm

      Healthy alternative to Vaseline

      by sola01 (1 review)
We've all heard to reviews on how vaseline does miracles for aging skin. The primrose night cream is the same thick texture only it uses natural ingredients instead of petroleum. Yes, the texture is extreme but so are the results. For dry skin at least...Can't live without it. April 7, 2009, 11:05 am

Yikes galoreI had such a reaction from this "natural" product, I had to bring it back. Some products are just not worth it. April 2, 2009, 12:34 pm

      Thick Cream

      by Stef42678 (279 reviews)

I was not too big on this product because it felt very thick and oily and didn't do dramatic things for my skin. It did help with softness, but not worth the price I paid. August 25, 2008, 1:27 am

      not what I expected

      by katalo (1 review)
this is like like a grainy thick putty and very greasy. it is not really a cream at all. It is not emollient. It is more of a salve. it seems to have way too much lavender oil and I agree with the other review that it will be hard to sleep with this strong odor. July 19, 2008, 12:00 am
