I've been using the Decleor Essential Balm for a couple years as my nighttime moisturizer and love it. With its rich texture, you would think it would cause breakouts, but it doesn't. It gives me the perfect amount of moisture and heals irritations and redness. It smells live a spa, too! I have 40 skin and have being working to undo damage as a youth. This Decleor product is wonderful. Hydrates, calms skin and helps blemishes. Do not be fooled by the fact that it a balm. A small amount into the palm for your hand (the palm will not absorb the product) smooth onto your face with upward motions. Be sure to breath in the fragrance. I used this balm at night for a few months, and I found that after my skin "got used to it", it did not do much any more. Perhaps it was meant to be a rescue product. Not your average moisturizer

I was first introduced to this Balm 6 years ago, after my first Decleor facial. I'm often concerned about putting something too heavy on my combination dry/oily/sensitive skin, as most moisturizers led to breakouts. Not only does this NOT cause breakouts, but I noticed that it played a part in healing minor ones. A dab or two of this balm, rubbed b/n fingers to warm and then applied to the face at night, creates glowing skin and decreased oil production over time (in my experience). The only reason that I've taken off two stars is the price, but I have to admit, I'm on my second jar.
