Healing, Comforting
I keep this around the house for cuts, burns, and scrapes. I also use it on my lips. In the winter, I slather it on my chapped, raw hands, cover with white cotton gloves for as many nights as necessary, and wind up with totally rejuvenated skin. Good stuff! — 2 weeks, 6 days agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Holy grail product!
I love this product! My lips are super dry from Accutane and I need to apply product every hour or so. Although I had been skeptical (I thought that Aquaphor was just another petroleum product like Vaseline, and I'd already tried tons of lip balms to soothe my lips), I decided to give Aquaphor a shot because of all of the MUA reviews. I'm really glad I did, because Aquaphor works great. PROS: Works great on lips and hands. The first time I applied it, I could feel my lips absorbing it, but without tingling or burning. My hands felt fantastic after applying. Does seem to work better than Carmex, Chapstick (regular, peppermint or moisturizing varieties) and better than my rose salve. CONS: The convenient travel-size tubes are a little spendy, especially compared to the larger bottle (It's about $6 for two little 0 .35 oz tubes). I did need to start rotating this product w/chapstick b/c after a few days, the Aquaphor didn't feel as effective. Also, I use this on my tattoos as they're healing, It's great stuff, and keeps them from itching and getting dried out and flaky during the healing process. My tattoo artist recommended it and that's what I'm sticking with! Overall, if you have really really chapped lips, this is a HG product! (I almost went into a panic when I thought I'd lost a tube, if that's any indication of how important this stuff is to a dry-lipped lady!) — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 8 of 12 people said helpful

Great for sunburns too!
This is very thick, rich, fragrance-free ointment. I recently had sunburns. I used after sun aloe gel for a while, but a few days later my skin was getting itchy. I used Aquaphor Original Ointment, my itch was gone and the skin did not peel as much as when I use regular body lotion. Works great! Highly recommended. — 4 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 7 people said helpful

Great for Chaffing
Applied on chaffed skin after exercise to help heal it and then applied before workouts to prevent chaffing and it worked wonders. It does have a weird consistency though. — 1 year, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

great healing!
soothes skin, and promotes skin healing. i use it on my elbows, knees, feet, and scars. I have seen a reduction in some of my scars. It really helps the skin repair itself. Very hydrating. — 2 weeks, 3 days agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

One of the best
I use this for dry lips, on scrapes and paper-cuts when I don't have Neosporin on hand, on my cuticles when I don't have cuticle oil on hand, etc. As other reviewers mentioned, this is also a great product for tattoo after-care. I developed an allergic reaction to what my tattoo artist sent me home with and had to switch over to Bacitracin and chose to use this in conjunction with it, as I was going crazy without the extra moisture while they went through their "fun" peeling process. In turn, my tattoos healed in just a few days as opposed to weeks. I highly recommend this product to anyone. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

on my whole face, on those first two days when it was sooo dry and peeling and itchy. it helped with the discomfort but it was sticky, like my hair kept falling in it. it didnt cause any problems, breakout or anything. good to have around for burns too, i hear. — 5 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 4 people said helpful
