The color stays on quite long for a gloss and looks so easily glamorous, yet the formula is so slick and smooth it's like the clear drugstore glosses I used to get as a girl, only much much better.   Best gloss on the planet

  Benefit's The Gloss is the ultimate lip gloss. It's not too sticky, comes in a ton of beautiful colors and leaves your lips feel soft and smooth even after it wears off (as opposed to other lip glosses that you constantly have to reapply because they dry out your lips!) April 21, 2008, 11:54 am

  Colour too sheer

  I love the scent and the smooth non-sticky texture but the colour is way too sheer for my naturally slightly pigmented lips. The colour disappears so fast. I might as well slick on clear gloss. I had Corsage and Chaperone and gave both away. February 28, 2008, 7:10 pm

  Kiss Me

  I LOVE this lip gloss!! I have been using this lip gloss now for several years in the Kiss Me color. I get a compliment every time I have it on.   I have this in the "Rave Reviews" color. It is a very thick lip gloss, but very pretty. For more color during the weekdays, I usually put it on over lipstick. For a casual weekend errand run it's great by itself to brighten up your whole face. November 6, 2007, 10:26 am

  I like that I can wear this sheer color over lipstick for extra shine and a subtle color change or wear it alone for a sweet little wash of color. However, the formula leaves something to be desired. The Gloss does not penetrate very well, it just sits on your lips and dries them out. Also, it's a bit sticky and has a nasty...   Love it!!!!!

  It normally like a thin lip gloss but this is perfect! It is just thick enough that it spreads but stays on for a while. The color is sheer but shiny enough to stand out. I am normally a cheap lig gloss person but this is totally something I would buy again! August 18, 2008, 6:34 pm

  Not worth the money

  I got a free sample of this gloss, and I was excited to try it since I consider myself a huge lip gloss buff. Sadly, I was disappointed. The application is not as smooth as it should be for this price, and the gloss felt chalky/waxy. It also didn't feel like it penetrated well at all. I wiped it off and applied my other lip... June 4, 2008, 8:12 am I got a free sample of this gloss, and I was excited to try it since I consider myself a huge lip gloss buff. Sadly, I was disappointed.
