Wonderful smell
My stylist recently moved to an Aveda salon so I just had my 3rd visit there. I love the Aveda products, some for the smell. This is one of them. And it really did add some volume to my hair. I have a friend at work who has used this for years and loves it! Fabulous volumizer
I have been looking forever to find a product that will volumize my fine hair. It took some work to get the amount needed right (too little - nothing happens, too much - sticky mess), but now I love what it does for my hair. I spray it into my hand before I apply to my roots, work it through, and blow dry with a round brush for fantastic volume that stays for hours. Even if I let it air dry the volume is still really good. For really humid days, I mix in a pump or two of the Phomollent for the best volume and hold I have ever had. Just OK
I am normally a big fan of Aveda, but I thought this product was just OK. It added volume, but I didn't like the texture it gave my hair--I found it a bit sticky and it sometimes made my hair look dirty. It might work better on hair that isn't baby-fine like mine is. Fabulous on Fine, Thin Hair
With fine, thin hair, summer humidity wreaks havoc with my locks. Aveda Volumizing Tonic plumps them right back up. I I use this all summer long and any tropical vacations instead of my usual Aveda styling product. Yuck
I have very thin, fine, limp hair. I have searched and searched and spent probably thousands of dollars on hair care products that promise to add volume. I generally do not spend this much money on just one product and I should not have spent it on this. It does not have a very fresh or enticing smell. It dries out my hair and makes it somewhat tacky. Probably Best For Medium-Fine Hair
I have baby-fine hair, and I tried the Aveda Volumizing Tonic to try to get more volume throughout my hair. I found that it dries a little stiffly in my hair, not as stiffly as hairspray, but still a little crunchy. Of course, roughening up the texture of the hair makes it seem a little fluffier when you comb through it, but for volume without sacrificing smoothness, I prefer Aveda's Phomollient. great product
When I first started using this product it made my hair sticky no matter how little I sprayed on the roots. I started spraying it in my hands and rubbing it through my hair at the roots. Once I started doing that I had no more sticky spots and great volume. Quick Fix
I'm constantly on the go for work, and don't have a lot of time to spend on my hair. This spray has been a lifesaver for me. A couple spritzes on damp or dry hair in the morning keeps my hair looking like I actually spent more than five minutes on it.
