Not my kind of product

I have a super short pixie cut and I like a product with a little bit of shine. I also like a decent amount of hold, but it needs to also be flexible, not stiff or sticky, because I do mess with my hair sometimes throughout the day. I like the reasonable prices on Garnier's hair products, and they always have really great, fresh scents that I enjoy. The texture of this when I put it in my hands was thinner than I thought it would be. It was barely sticky at all, especially compared to other products I use (I tend to rotate between two or three). But I have also occasionally used products that weren't super sticky and they turned out great, so I dove right in and threw this into my hair and styled as usual. It's not a bad product, but it's definitely not MY product. I would say this was low medium hold when I prefer a solid medium or even medium high hold product. It also had no shine at all. Not even a little. Some people are into that or prefer it (require it, even), but I like a little shine so those two factors ruled it right out for me after just one use. But the product lives on with a friend who requires a product with no shine at all, so at least someone gets to enjoy it.

love this stuff!

i love that this is a great alternative to hairspray or gel. it is creamy, non sticky, and has a strong hold. i love that it crreates texture and wave with a pleasant scent. it lasts all day and is super affordable.

Sticky

I find this product really difficult to work with - I can't get it to spread evenly through my hair. It does give you lots of texture but can be very sticky and easily can make hair crunchy.

Definetly Surf Hair

This product really does give you that surfer hairdo but for me, I didnt really like the thickness of it. It made my hair a little tangly and stiff. Its hard to work with so you need the right amount and make sure you have an even application.

Gives Beachy Waves

This product is a summer staple for me. I apply it to towel-dried hair, from roots to tip, put my hair in one french braid and I let it dry. When it comes out I have frizz-free smooth, wavy strands that look relaxed yet polished. And it lasts for a long time. This is a great product, I strongly reccomend it.

Good for surf styles

This paste is good for the high-texture, tousled look of surfers. Don't use too much or it will just weigh the hair down. My boyfriend has shirt curly hair and loves this stuff. I've had short to medium straight hair using this product. I prefer using it on my short hair for the messy bed-head look. On longer hair it needs to be used sparingly and it is easy to go overboard and weigh hair down. I also love the scent and the fact that it is so inexpensive!

I have long thin hair (think linsey lohan cut)

product is great for people with thin long hair. I have natural large waves so using this product with a curling iron does wonders. I barely use any, just a little bit of product on my fingers and rub together then rub through my roots and kindof fluff/backcomb to tease with fingers. Hard to apply evenly, but works!!

This stuff comes in a jar, so you have to scoop some out with your fingers to use it. Then it gets messy because it's hard to apply evenly because it's a fairly thick cream. Rub it between your hands first and then be careful. It will give hair tons of TEXTURE! Definitely beachy. But it's also good for a general messy look. My hair is fine, so I really don't use a lot. And brushing my hair after u...read morese is not really an option because it's a little sticky. I like to use it on occasion, but it's definitely not an everyday look because it's so messy-textured. It smells amazing, though! (like all garnier fructis products...) So that's a plus, too! The scent isn't overpowering but is strong enough to stay with you and make your hair smell nice all day long. I still haven't finished my first jar. A must for short hair!

As a man I like to keep my hair short and this product is perfect for my hair. It is relatively thicker than a lot of hair pastes and it is really workable with nice hold so I always keep a few extra on hand for whether I want to style my hair in spikes or wear my hair down.
