Love it

Love this stuff...my husband and I both use it. I first started using it when I had short hair, and it was great for getting the "piecy" look. Now that my hair has grown out, I still use it (in much smaller amounts) to give my hair a little bit of texture and make it easier to control my calic. For short hair, it worked best as a finishing touch to dry hair, for long hair it is best to apply while hair is wet.

garnier surf hair texturizing paste

I tried this product at my daughter's and almost brought it home with me! It is a texturing paste and a good one for me. It's light and smells divine! The creaminess appeals to me rather than a product that has to be liquified in the hands. Works for me!!1

Not For Long Hair

I think this product would be really good for people with short hair. I have long, heavy hair so it didn't do much for me. What it DID do was make my hair greasy looking. The paste is sticky and thick, when it dries out it leaves my hair feeling hard and crunchy. I guess it did add a bit of volume, but it wasn't pretty volume. They say that if you take a strand and apply the paste, twist it ar...read moreound your fingers, you can get a curl. When I did this to the tips, it just made it greasy and it came out flat and straight. Didn't work. I guess its the price you pay for $4! I definitely won't be using this again.

It's alright

I use this to "finish" my hair when I wear it curly. When its almost dry i put it in to stop the frizz and works well for this.

Excellent Product!

I love this product because both my husband and I can use it. We have completely different hair. His hair is pin straight and mine is very curly. He uses it for a textured look and I use it to help define and manage my curls. I also use Garnier's soft curls.

Does it's job

This paste is not for hold, it is for texture. It gives hair decent piece-y-ness, but do not expect it to hold a style. Great for guys as it is a nice, non-shiny, texture. My husband uses this everyday.

Doesn't last long

I bought this to give my 10 year old son some style to his short hair style. It looked good for a little while, but slowly started to droop. After the normal playing and running around of a boy his age, his style was totally flat and plastered to his head after about an hour. I would not use this on him again.
