Haven't washed your oil-, sweat- and product-soaked hair in days? Avoid the greasy heebie-jeebies by spraying roots with colored starch. Really. This much-hyped styling aid -- essentially an aerosol spray of starch, chalk, fixatives and SD alcohol -- soaks up everything that gives hair that dirty, flat look. (Trade-off: It feels and looks like spray paint.) Available in five colors, the powder can mask light/gray roots, but not dark roots on light hair. ("Blondish" is brown, FYI.) Watch for falling pigment while applying.

    Pretty good

I only wash my hair every 3 days, and my hair is fine, so this really helps extend my blow dry. The blondish shade is a great match for my reddish dark blonde hair. However, it is very sticky (stickier than other dry shampoos), it REALLY needs to be brushed out (more than other dry shampoos) and it's expensive. It does add ...a lot of body and thickness and is the best dry shampoo for complicated hair styles. A good plus is the ability to hide roots, if you can match your hair color to one of the tints. I can't live without it!

I hate washing my hair every day, and this product totally fakes it for you. I use it every other day, it takes away the look of oily hair and also gives some nice volume. My bangs tend to get pretty greasy after a day but this even solves that. HOWEVER, you've got to be careful - don't touch your scalp after you've spra...yed it. The brown powder will come off on your fingers. And NEVER sleep in it - once I it got all over my pillow (but it's washable, so even if that happens its totally solvable). January 14, 2008, 11:32 am

    DO NOT BUY!!

    by notanimer (8 reviews)
I read about this product in at least 5 magazines with awesome reviews of it before I bought it. It is pretty expensive. So I took it home and tried it. My entire bathroom was covered in brown spray paint. I spent forever cleaning up the mess. And it made my hair stiff, it didn't remove the oil as promised. Besides that mes...s, I got another when I washed my hair! I had to scrub my tub to get out the brown stains. Needless to say, I returned this. I would not suggest it. December 28, 2007, 7:57 pm

Use Only If Attending Clown College!!!!

I'd only advise using this if you want to color everything you come into contact with (and possibly more!). This stuff coated everything in my bathroom (hands, hairbrush, towels, walls, floor, and ever after a ridiculous amount of brushing "to remove any excess product" I still found this getting on all of my clot...hing through-out the day. Plus, it didn't even deal with the oils in my hair - so I was left with greasy hair and trailing color everywhere I went. A complete waste of time and total disappointment from a generally fantastic company. Bumble and bumble needs to throw this out and go back to the drawing board to start over and get it right on the next try! I'd be happy to test it (but at least then I would know I was a tester, rather than a consumer expecting quality that I normally expect from this company)! December 28, 2007, 3:50 pm

    Need another Day?

    by makeupbyjules (19 reviews)
If your hair can be blended with theis color (warm auburn) you are a lucky girl..oops you too guys! I have long RED hair and do not want to wash it everyday (fading, drying out my hair). You can also spray it on your greys.. I mean if you have them. I don't know what grey is..lol. It will asorb oils and scents in the hair ...so you can blowdry through for a new 'doo' or mix it in. It washes right out, and the color your hands wash off as well. Packaging is great, but it is very expensive. I don not recommend as an every day product. I think it is $28-$38. I forget, But have a can for trips! May 6, 2008, 9:35 pm

    Skip a day

I never wash my hair everyday so I'm always looking for a product that will put a little extra oomph in my hair without weighing it down. I started out with regular baby powder but that turned out to be trouble on my dark hair. B & B's hair powder gives the same oomph & volume that a liquid spray can't. But don't be... wreckless with this stuff. I suggest spraying it on before your apply your makeup. February 15, 2008, 9:10 am

    Hugely Disappointing Waste of $$!

    by neenamara (8 reviews)
I've used dry shampoo loads while living on a campsite for 10 weeks so I wasn't expecting some sort of lazy person's hair miracle. The $4 stuff I got at the drugstore works well enough for me to get another day out of a blowout, but this stuff was a nightmare! Most irritating was that the color got everywhere; all over my h...ands, brush, towel, etc. Plus, every time I touched my hair for the rest of the day, my hands turned red! Plus, I didn't think this worked as well as the dry shampoos I've used in the past. My hair felt like I'd sprayed it with that crazy colored spray you use at Halloween. It's awful; save your money!!!! December 13, 2007, 7:10 pm

    Stinks

I've used two other hair powders (white), 1 aerosol & 1 not, & thought, "Hey, what an idea - COLORED hair powder!! Great idea, no white starchiness to brush out - excellent!" WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. I got the 'blondish,' in the BIG size...BAD idea, I tell you! It glops out in a BROWN color (liken it to a mel...ty brown crayon), DOES stain, & DOESN'T brush out correctly!! I was so NOT excited about it at all...This glop got on my brush, my hands, my clothes, etc...Go for the regular spray hair powder if you're blond...This stuff is NOT as advertised. not that great

i bought this product for my sister because she has long, thick hair that is color-treated and gets oily in a day. it was pricey, but since i love the line and it's other great products i didn't mind the splurge. what i didn't like is how careful i had to be when spraying it onto my sister's hair because it's colored hair p...owder. it absorbed the oil okay, but after using it for one day she complained to me that her hands were stained after touching her hair. it was a disappointment. not only is it expensive, but you only have so many color choices to choose from. Good as root volumizer

    by lamericanina (3 reviews)
So I bought this after the girl who did a fab job on my hair used it to add some volume at the roots -- no intentions of using it instead of shampooing or to color gray or anything. Definitely way overpriced and probably will not buy again, but as long as it lasts, it does help give me a little pick me up when my hair is fl...at, like in the morning if I showered the night before. I have light brown hair and my stylist actually said to just go with the White, and it's totally fine. March 8, 2008, 11:38 pm
