Aveda Brilliant Universal Styling Creme
Editor's Rating & Review
"Universal"? Um, only if you live in a universe full of coarse-haired people. If you do, apply this thick cream to dry hair to infuse with moisture and shine via coconut, aloe and jojoba, plus a mega dose of that classic Aveda scent (people always comment -- it's that sniff-tastic). For those with fine hair, don't even look at this tube. Normal-haired? Moderation is key, or oily wrath on par with the Exxon Valdez awaits you.

Smells funny
And it leaves my hair greasy. it does not calm frizz at all, and I honestly did not see any shine. My hair was like a cap. It does not move when I shake my head. I do not recommend. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 4 people said helpful

Works well
This styling creme really does works well if you don't use too much of it, otherwise it feels heavy in my hair. Great product! — 2 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

I did not like their scent
My hair is very dry mostly due to swimming, and also I have frizzy and colored hair too. Sometimes a conditioner is not enough and I need something to moisturize and smooth in the evening or for my second-day hair. Unfortunately, I did not open the product and sniff before purchasing. The scent of this product is too strong and masculine. A little goes a long way, and does it help to tame frizz and straighten my hair, but I felt like I was using a men's styling product. Thus, I won't buy it again because it is too expensive for me to not to love the product 100%. — 2 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
