Aveda Brilliant Universal Styling creme has definitely been a good choice for my course, frizzy, dry hair. I do not color my hair but with age my poker straight hair as a kid as turned into the bush beast. My 12 year old daughter has medium, oily hair but if used properly, "less is more" works well on her hair as well. The user must know their hair to make this product universal and once you try it you'll love it! The package directions also tell the user "layer very small amounts for best use". I also like the aspect of Aveda's nature based scents and ingredients. I consider Aveda a "green product". December 7, 2007, 4:30 am

the smell, as we all know, is heavenly. i may be the only woman in existence with fine hair who hasn't sworn off this magical product! when i'm done styling, i use a pea-size amount, smooth it between my palms, and rub it all through the ends of my hair. it holds the style and adds a touch of shine. i always have Brilliant in my bathroom! I use this on my hair regularly. I have thick coarse hair and it does keep my hair manageable. I use a dime size amount of brilliant and then I add 3 pumps of elements smoothing lotion. It leaves my hair soft, I can blow dry any style I wish to. I really like the diversity this product gives my hair style when used with elements. Love this stuff!! As a person with course hair, this tames it like nothing else, and the fragrance, as others have said, is magnifique!! I am SO tired of that green apple scent you get with so many hair products! Just a small amt of this product, rubbed into both palms before application, and voila! Having grayed considerably in the last few years, my stylist suggested that I use this to tame the new growth of wiry, gray hair. After styling, I would rub a little in my hands, and then "tame" just the gray hairs at the roots. Since the introduction of Smooth Infusion, I retired Brilliant Universal Styling Creame. But guess who snagged it? My husband. He has coarse, kinky hair, and this works wonders on his mane. June 5, 2008, 12:03 pm
