alright

I have the Chill the Champagne (shimmery gold) one and use it as a shadow. I don't really get a cooling sensation on my lids but this is really smooth. It looks great for day and night. I love wearing this at night along with black and grey shadow. I don't have anything against this product, I just get lazy at sharpening it.12/06/2007

May 1, 2008, 10:31 am This is not really recommended if you have oily lids like me, since it creases after a few hours of wear. I don't care much for the cooling effect, especially when the weather is cold. I like to travel with this since it's very portable, I can do the smokey eye effect effortlessly smudging with my finger using the black or the gray shade. After a while, the crayon shrinks and it gets harder to sharpen without breaking off. It could be better, and they need to expand on the shade selection. May 1, 2008, 10:31 am

    Love the feeling

I bought this when it first came out, I think the shade was called denim. It does make your eyes feel "cool". I thought that was pretty cool in itself. March 29, 2008, 8:34 am I bought this when it first came out, I think the shade was called denim. It does make your eyes feel "cool". I thought that was pretty cool in itself. The color was nice, it was dark (just what I was hoping for when I got it), and it helped me to achieve a smokey eye look, only with blue! It went on smooth and didn't clump like regular liner. I was really upset when it came time to sharpen it though, I lost a lot of product because it's so soft. March 29, 2008, 8:34 am

Love the way it looks but packaging could be improved

I have at least ten of them in different colors. One thing I really like to do is start with a darker shade and then add a lighter shade of it on top for an iridescent-type look. I would seriously give this product a 10, except there is one huge problem. Some (not all) of the pencils separate from their "lead" when the product is sharpened for the first time. This means that the whole stick of the product itself comes out of the wood pencil, and the pencil is ruined. I do not know if this is because of temperature, humidity, or what, but it drives me crazy. I have seen it happen most with the Sugar Plum Ice color and the Lilac Freeze color. I keep buying it, though, because there's really nothing like it. I really hope they can fix this problem or tell me how to prevent it. June 11, 2008, 3:03 pm

    Maybelling New York Cooling

    by lil2sarcastic (67 reviews)
This shadow is silky smooth and doesn't crease. I recommend applying a small amount to the pad of your index finger to avoid over-application. I think that filling in the lid with the shadow directly would give you too much product. The cooling sensation is also nice. June 2, 2008, 3:10 am

    great product for the price

    by meg61299 (78 reviews)
I would say this shadow stick compares to more expensive brands. I like the colors and the application is fool-proof. I like it as a liner and a shadow and it even looks good on the lower lash line. I have actually felt some cooling effects, too. It's sort of an odd feeling, though. I have several colors. I've been using this for about 7 years now....and it doubles as a base for your lipstick if you get it in the Ice Princess shade and then put some gloss over it, it stays on your lips for forever! I would be so sad if they ever discountinued this product! March 3, 2008, 7:34 am

    easy multiple effects

    by Vanessa8 (3 reviews)
This eyeshadow pen is a great alternative to eyeshadow. I use it to top a liquid liner on my top lids. For a smokey-night time look you can apply a thicker layer. It's very easy to use, and there are no messes and less smudging than there is with dark eye shadow. February 25, 2008, 8:36 am

    Cute colors, smooth application

    by katieq (29 reviews)
I have this liner in both green and blue shades, and I like them both. I wear them as liners, and they go on very smoothly. I do have to be sure to keep the point on the pencil sharp to make sure the line isn't too thick. I would recommend this product. January 26, 2008, 7:11 pm

I've been using these pencils for a couple of months now i have 8 different colors. Some colors aren't that great but overall these are awsome. I love how portable they are, how well they wear, the longevity, and ease of use. September 15, 2008, 2:42 pm

July 24, 2008, 7:18 pm I can't remember which colors I got, but I'm pretty sure I got a light green and a lavender liner during a sale. They were creamy, smooth and slightly shimmery. I loved the purple color. However, the color would completely disappear if I rubbed it off with my finger. It didn't stay as well as Cover Girl Eye Slicks did, and the pencil would constantly break every time I tried to sharpen it. One of the pencil's tips broke off and almost melted and the rest of the color was stuck in the hollow pencil/plastic encasing and was useless. The other pencil broke from sharpening and was wasted. I love the colors and smoothness of these shadows/liners but I won't get them again because there's no point in buying something that will probably break as soon as you use it !
