Neutrogena SkinClearing Liquid Makeup
Editor's Rating & Review
It's a dreaded cycle: You get a pimple and cover it with foundation, which makes the pimple worse, prompting you cover it with even more makeup. Neutrogena SkinClearing Oil-Free Makeup helps break the cycle with .5 percent salicylic acid, so you actually fight pimples while wearing it. The formula is also great at making pores disappear, feels practically invisible on and comes in 12 shades. But alas, it's not perfect. "Oil-absorbing powders" don't help much with shine, and the liquid formula tends to fade through the day, especially (and ironically) on oily skin.

Did not clear up my skin
As an adult who suffers from regular acne breakouts, I really wanted this foundation to be effective. But it did not clear up skin. Fortunately, it did not worsen either. It provided a decent coverage, but that was pretty much it. I think the name is a bit misleading. There are other oil-free foundations with a better matching color, a more coverage, and even with SPF. I love Neutrogena skin care products, but so far not this makeup. — 3 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Peel much?
At first I loved this makeup. It was cheap, came in a terrific array of colors, and did not cause breakouts. However (and that's a big however), it sucked all the moisture out of my skin, and caused massive peeling on my nose. The packaging sucks. The lid allows product to leak all over the neck of the bottle, causing a thick buildup. Too bad, because I hate that feeling of covering up a pimple knowing that covering it up is really just making it worse. — 4 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
