Still Leery but VERY Pleased So Far
I started this Night Cream a couple nights ago and was shocked. It took away my redness from Rosacea and the break-outs from sensitivity. I'm quite amazed at how well it really worked. Other products have either been terrible or have been okay but never helpful. The reason for my amazement is that it actually did what was advertised but also with a light fragrance. It is not fragrance-free. How is it possible? This is the only reason I give it a nine instead of a ten. I think a product for sensitive skin should be fragrance free. Reduces redness and moisturizes, but smells AWFUL
A couple of years ago I read that chamomile fades redness, so I started laying used tea bags on my always-splotchy nose and rosy (in a bad way) cheeks. Needles to say, that got annoying and I gave it up. So I was thrilled to hear of this product, which contains chamomile to reduce redness. I've been using it in conjunction with Eurcerin's redness relief daily lotion, and the redness on my cheeks has totally gone and the redness on my nose has faded. It feels a bit greasy and I suspect that it's clogging the pores on my nose, so it may not be the best choice for those with oily skin unless you find that wearing a salicylic acid treatment under it works for you as it has for me. Alas, the deal-breaker for this otherwise-great product is the smell. Why did they stop making this????
This cream is discontinued!! It was one of the best i had ever used, it was soothing, yet very moisturizing to my very sensitive skin. I miss it very much. I still use the daily lotion with SPF 30, and the body lotion as well as a number of other Aveeno products.
