Almay Smart Shade Blush

Apparently, this blush was smart enough to know that I don't naturally blush, so it faded to nothing. Those seeking noticeably flushed cheeks will want to use something with more pigment, especially at night. The whipped-textured cream squeezes easily from a little tube and leaves cheeks soft and dewy. But each color is so sheer, it may disappear within a few hours even if primed and set with powder.

    Too Much like Tinted Moisturizer

This product feels and behaves too much like a tinted moisturizer to be worth $10 a pop. December 16, 2007, 6:32 pm This product feels and behaves too much like a tinted moisturizer to be worth $10 a pop. I luckily found this product on a buy one get one half off sale at my local CVS, but I don't really like either shade very much. I bought Berry and Rose because I read good reviews about them on Totalbeauty. During the day if you want a natural look and you have a lighter colour skin, this might be the product for you. I don't really like this product very much because my skin is more olive toned and I like to have a pink or rose tint to the apples of my cheeks during the day. This stuff is creamy but still pretty watery- if I wanted a very noticeable blushing effect, I would have to literally slather this on, which makes my skin look a little cakey. I would go with a cheek stain like the ones that Tarte has out now or for a less expensive suggestion, the stick blush by Sonia Kashuk. December 16, 2007, 6:32 pm

Try it - I think you'll like it

I bought the 030 berry shade and loved it from first try. It has a slightly shimmery look to it out of the tube and I've found that just a little dab of it goes a long way. Not what I was expecting

like the idea, but it did not work for me

    by goldenjoy (11 reviews)
The good: I like the texture, it's lightweight and non-greasy. The bad: it doesn't last on my skin and the color barely shows up on me (I used the nude/natural shade) April 24, 2008, 9:14 am

    The Emperor's New Blush

    by Nita47 (15 reviews)
Wonder why this product shows up on some people and not others? I'm one of the "others" and find it does nothing on my skin. I have freckles and "burn then tan." I purchased the Natural shade of this blush because I was looking for a cream blush in a bronze-y, tan color. February 27, 2008, 3:43 pm

    Just Right

    by vt_alex (13 reviews)
This blush provides just the right amount of color and is deceptively easy to apply. When you first put it on, it seems like it might be too much, but it quickly absorbs into skin to get a good match. I love it! December 11, 2007, 7:05 am

Ive never used a cream blush before and was worried about application, but found it to be suprisingly idiot proof. And i liked the fresh look (berry color). December 4, 2007, 9:08 am

I have the pink and berry colors of this product. it is so easy to use and dummy proof. If you get too much of it or get it slightly out of place it is so easy to fix. October 25, 2007, 8:41 pm

    For a very natural look

July 29, 2008, 9:02 pm My cheeks are usually dry, so I decided to try this gel. I had tried Smashbox's O-Glow gel blush at Sephora, but didn't like the color that developed. I bought this in Natural (020) and love the results. It blended easily into y skin and looked glowy and natural, as if coming from within my skin. This is what I was hoping for! I am very fair skinned, and it's easy to overdo with color, especially with creams. This gel is a sheer, easily buildable color. However, the key to good application is well-moisturized skin. Without it, the product may streak or absorb too quickly. This is definitely a super, inexpensive keeper! July 29, 2008, 9:02 pm
