tricky to use
For the price, the comb style mascara that's worth buying is the Maybelline one, which is much easier to use. Even if you master how to use this, the application still takes too much time. It's easy to get way too much onto your lashes, but if you comb out the excess, you will end up with super shiny, dark, spiky, and thick, faux lash look. My tube lasted me a very long time, never dried out. — 3 years, 12 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Save your money
This mascara is one of the worst I have ever tried. It was really dissapointing in comparison with the Lancome definicils mascara which is one of the best I have ever used. The applicator that comes with this formula was advertised as "state-of-the-art", employing a plastic comb-like applicator on the end of the wand that is purported to separate and "comb" through lashes leaving them full and clump free. Not so. The mascara is thick and goopy and floods the small plastic channels between the teeth of the comb and essentially smear the goopy black stuff all over your lashes. The formula also dries very fast and since the applicator is hard plastic it's nearly impossible to wipe the excess clean. This mascara was a huge dissapointment. If you like the concept of the comb, consider trying Maybelline New York's Define-a-lash or Covergirl's LashExact which both employ the comb technology but with softer, pliable bristles and channels within the tube that wipe the excess mascara clean. Maybelline's is especially good, and at around 6 bucks a pop, it is definitely worth a try. — 5 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

Not the Best
Lancome has yet to make a mascara as volumizing as the discontinued "Intencils." Fatale is one of the better offerings in recent years, but it did not give me the volume I wanted and I found the wand to be a disappointment. Yes, I was able to "work" the 3D comb, but who wants to spend that much time fussing? The only benefit of the 3D comb is that it does pack the mascara on your lashes, which makes for a more itense look. That said, the concept could have been better executed. — 3 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
