I just read the editors review and respectfully disagree! I believe the amount of product needed verses the amount used makes this an excellent product and great performer. just a tiny amount is needed and the wax does not clump, if used properly. The key is moving the product through the brows and giving fullness and defintiion to the brow. While they may offer black, the bruneete may end up working for those with black brows as it is very deep. (sorry, i use aburn and it is perfect for me) May 15, 2008, 6:24 am

Total Beauty may believe that the Brow Tech is only "mediocre", however I believe that this product is phenomenal. You can mix the colors in order to darken or lighten the color; they blend seamlessly with your own brows & look perfectly natural. Oftentimes on clients, if I want a more formal look, I will pencil in the shape first, then go over with the Brow Tech to soften & fill in. I have used many brow pencils to define my eyebrowns and none of them have worked quite like Smashbox Brow Tech. This powder/wax duo works great for anybody as easy as 1,2,3. Using just a little wax will hold brows and color in place lasting all day of an application that defines your face to a better lookin you. Dont forget to buy an eyebrow brush for application! I have very blonde hair and my brows are very thin and only darker blond very thinly, the rest all grows in blond. I have been trying products to get a natural, all-day look for 10 years and finally found it! Brow tech is awesome! I use the Smashbox brow brush to put the blonde powder on and ffill in my brows and then dip it in the wax and lightly brush it over. The wax hold the color all day and it also grooms the brows for a finished, gorgeous look! I will never go back to eybrow pencils again! November 13, 2007, 8:14 pm

I've tried a lot of brow products, and I prefer not to have multiple shades of powder in a kit to complicate things, so I like this product's simple powder/wax pot. I have dark blonde brows, and the taupe shade works great for me. I apply the powder first, then use a small amount of the wax to set them in place, and I love the result. If you don't overload your brush with wax, you shouldn't have any issues with clumping, and using a good slanted eyebrow brush will give better results as well (I'm partial to the Sephora brand since the quality is good and the price isn't ridiculously high). I love,love this brow liner, I have gotten several compliments on my brows since wearing this product. It goes one smooth and its virtually mistake proof exspeically if you use their brow brush and the colors match great with my brows the wax is a added plus and it keeps your brow hairs in place. It comes off easy with soap and water,I will never use pencil liner again! This also deserves a top raiting June 3, 2008, 3:51 pm

I love the brunette powder. It goes on smooth and even and you don't have to use much AT ALL, which is good for those of us who don't like to spend our paychecks on brow-grooming products! I agree with the other reviewers about the wax -- its a little sticky and hard to get even. Not the worst I've ever used, though. Overall, the pros of the powder outweight the cons of the wax. this really is the best blonde shade out there. no lie...i put it on with a semi-heavy hand at times but never end up looking like an old lady with drawn-on brows. i just end up looking polished. when i started using it my husband noticed how good i looked...but couldn't tell me what was different...he just liked the way i looked. now THAT's an endorsement!!! I have been using Brow Tech for over three years. I use the brunette shade. The color looks very natural, and the wax helps to smooth my brows into shape. Since I am 60 years old, my eyebrows are almost 50% white. It is excellent value for the money because the product can last almost a year and SmashBox (at Sephora if you don't want to go on line) also offers just a pot of the wax since the wax is generally the first to finish before the color. I have very fair skin, light brown/reddish hair and I can use both the taupe and blonde shades. I have ordered this product several times and NEVER had an issue with it being defective. This lasts forever, which is nice to stretch your money! Since using a brow corrector, I will not be without one and this is the one that I will stick with.
