Good Foundation

by OutrageousRose (8 reviews)
This is a good mineral makeup. It can be built up for more coverage without looking heavy. It gives a natural look. It is slightly shimmery, so you make need a finishing powder if you want a matte look. It does not cover large pores very well, so you may want a pore minimizer or primer for those areas.10/17/2007

      Needs a better brush!

February 23, 2008, 4:47 pm I purchased this foundation after discovering while on vacation that I had left my makeup bag at home. I grabbed this from the drugstore because it conveniently came with a built-in brush. The brush is way too soft and floppy to give even coverage, and the powder itself is very shiny and felt cakey. I also noticed the brush shed a lot and I ended up picking bristles off my face and shirt when I was done applying it. It worked ok in a pinch, but I will not be purchasing this in the future as a replacement to my usual foundation. If the brush had shorter, more densely-packed bristles that didn't break off so easily, the application would be much smoother, and this would then be an excellent product for travel. So I put almay pure blend mineral makeup to the test and I like it a lot.First you don't haft to swirl tap and buff,What is it with that? I guess it makes people think their doing something. With almay pure blend mineral all you do is pump it in to the already built in brush and apply and it is not messy like bare escentuals is and that is a good thing. And it sure don't cost as much. Thank you Donice November 12, 2007, 10:31 pm

      Not that good

      by njraindrops (4 reviews)
I've been hearing great things about mineral foundation so I tried this product, and I was disapointed. The brush fell apart and was so flimsy it was challenging to use it and there was not even coverage. March 8, 2008, 9:27 am

      Eh..

I am not sure what the concept of application of this makeup is. I suppose it's supposed to be easy - poof! and then it's on your brush. It's more like poof and all over the sink/mirror/etc. I couldn't really judge this as a foundation because I couldn't really use it as one. It didn't really cover much of anything. So it ... It's more like poof and all over the sink/mirror/etc. I couldn't really judge this as a foundation because I couldn't really use it as one. It didn't really cover much of anything. So it has now been demoted as a finishing powder. Might as well use the rest of it up. October 23, 2008, 12:43 pm

      Nice, natural look with coverage

      by Deannarama (6 reviews)
I like this product because it lightly covers imperfections without the cakey appearance of liquid foundations. If you need a lot of coverage, this probably isn't for you. July 23, 2008, 11:41 am

      Too much in the middle

      by elizabasti (76 reviews)
The make-up piled up in the middle of the brush, making it difficult to gain even coverage, and getting powder onto the brush became difficult when trying to gage how much was already in there! March 26, 2008, 12:12 pm

I like the coverage but I was disapointed the brush falling apart and the powder comes out to much at a time. March 13, 2008, 5:23 am
