Disappointing

I was really eager to try this after hearing rave reviews about it. Vitamin C is a big trend in skin care right now, considering its antioxidant, anti-aging, and brightening benefits. It feels more like a gel than a serum and if you look closely, there is pinkish pearl to brighten the face, but it's barely noticeable, so don't fret if you think it'll look noticeable on your face. I have uneven texture and no matter HOW MANY products I use to resurface, it still remains uneven. I was hoping that putting this on would smooth out a bit of the uneven texture so my skin with makeup would look better and smoother. This really doesn't do much, at least nothing noticeable. This can be used as a primer and some people it works well for that case, but for me it causes my liquid foundation to bead off when I brush it on. This may serve as a better primer for powder foundation, but I haven't tried that yet. I was at a point where I starting having a decent complexion and I was happy, but then I started breaking out. I narrowed it down to this product because it does have silica which gives it that silicone-feeling when you put it on and my skin usually hates that. The only thing I ended up liking was the smell of it, but I noticed on the ingredients list that fragrance is the second thing on the list! The ingredients listed list are in descending order, starting with the highest quantity ingredients first. Needless to say, some people often have reactions to high fragrance quantities, they might also want to stay away from this. So unfortunately I'm going to return this because it wasn't for me.

Didn't work well for me

I purchased the Vitamin C booster to wear under my daytime moisturizer like a serum. I was first put off by the consistency of this. It seems to have a lot of silicone in it and it felt funny on my face. Since it was clear it was also hard to tell where I had put it. I have sun spots and some discolorations, but this did nothing to lighten them. I wasn't expecting miracles, but I did hope for more than I received. While Body Shop products are all reasonably priced, this product was more expensive so I expected more. I would not buy this again and I certainly cannot recommend it.

Exceeds expectations

I bought the product online so I didn't get to try it until I tried it for the first time. The texture was richer than I had expected. This worried me, because I have very oily skin and I worried that this would make me break out. After having tried it for three weeks, I learned that this product is wonderful! It is great as a morning moisturizer and a primer, because it made my skin very silky. It makes applying my BB cream much easier.

Silky smooth and radiant

I adore this product. Not only is the smell fantastic and a great wake-me-up in the mornings, but just a small amount leaves my skin looking super smooth and glowing. I wore it without any makeup, and all of my friends noticed the subtle healthy glow and asked me what I magically did/used to get my skin looking so vibrant. Even though it requires just a little to look and feel great, it is simply better to catch it on sale.

this stuff is freaking amazing! i mean the first time i tried it, my skin felt soooo freaking smooth like silk! its perfect to use as a primer for foundation. this is a must. can't live w/out it!

foundation primer

this product makes my skin glow and leaves my face so smooth. It acts as a perfect foundation primer. The days that I forget to use it I can totally tell a difference in the application of my makeup. It's a great product

Love this and can't live without it!!!

This absorbs extremely quick and you won't even know if it's there or not. I use this before a moisturizer, works wonders!!!

So So GREAT!

This might have to be my favorite Body Shop product (and that's saying a lot b/c I love almost everything there). Its kind of like a makeup primer. It feels like velvet going on your skin and smells so refreshing, like a light orange scent. It makes my makeup go on smooth and gives me that beautiful airbrushed finish. I use it when my skin looks a little dull and sad b/c it perks it up and gives it a lovely radiance. run out to The body Shop and snatch this puppy up STAT!!!
